Dr. Dre and his wife Nicole Young will have to split nearly $60 million in real estate as part of their divorce.
Earlier this week, Nicole filed for divorce from Dr. Dre (real name: Andre Young) which is setting the stage for a massive settlement including the division of their properties.
In June 2019, Dr. Dre purchased a $2.25 million mansion in a gated Pacific Palisades community. The 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom, 3,102 sq. ft. property sits on 2 acres.
Back in August, the music mogul and his wife unloaded their long-time 8-bedroom, 13-bathroom, 16,200 sq. ft. mansion in Woodland Hills for $4.5 million. The property features a “expansive gated driveway, 4 car garage, & high end security chambers. Double door entry opens to a grand staircase.” It also features a “250 + bottle wine cellar, & casual dining area. The Grand Lanai with its wall of opening glass doors/ windows joins the outdoors & Olympic length Saltwater pool with the indoor jacuzzi, two powder/changing rooms, a trendy bar, views of the city, fire pits & TV area under the stars.”
The two properties are on top of the $50 million Brentwood estate Dr. Dre bought from Tom Brady in 2014. The 5-bedroom, 9-bathroom mansion is MASSIVE. The division of the homes will be interesting given there was reportedly no prenuptial agreement signed before the marriage.
As The Blast previously reported, earlier this week, Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre after 24 years of marriage. The petition was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. Dr. Dre and Nicole were married on May 25, 1996 and share two kids, daughter Truly and son Truice.
The divorce came as a shock to many with the couple showing no signs of trouble. In February, Dre, Nicole and their daughter attended the Tom Ford AW20 Show at Milk Studios in Hollywood, California. The trio walked the red carpet while holding hands and smiling for the cameras.
In the photos, Nicole is clearly wearing her massive wedding ring at the event. The two have appeared to have a solid marriage for decades with them praising the other throughout.
