Despite the tumultuous history Lindsie Chrisley has with her family and her father, Todd Chrisley, she has nothing but love for them, especially as they go through this tough period of their lives.
As you might know, Todd and his wife Julie learned of their fate in their tax fraud case, and the famous couple was sentenced to a joint 19-year sentence in federal prison.
For the first time since the sentencing, Lindsie is breaking her silence, and she has a message for those who might be capitalizing on her family’s woes.
Lindsie Chrisley Admits Parents’ Sentencing Is ‘Extremely Hard’

Lindsie finally spoke about her parents’ fate in the December 8 episode of her hit podcast “Coffee Convos.” However, ahead of the premiere of the episode, she sat down with Hollywood Life to address fans’ curiosity about how she feels about Todd and Julie’s sentencing.
The eldest daughter of the American television personality confessed that her heart broke at the news of the sentencing. She began her statement, saying, “I wanted to take a minute and first of all, say thank you to all of our listeners that have reached out to me the past few weeks regarding my family.”
The 33-year-old opened up about why she took a while to speak up about the sentencing, revealing that she wanted to “take a step back and begin to process everything” before saying anything publicly. Then addressing the matter at hand, Lindsie said:
“The past few months have been extremely hard for me and my family, and I am heartbroken over the updates in my parents’ case that occurred late last month.”
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star then gave a disclaimer to the media, who have tried to manipulate her silence into a juice headline, saying, “I know some of the media has tried to twist my response to this and make it something it’s not, but at the end of the day, there is no tea here.”

The mother-of-one noted that what many don’t realize is that it is a “real family” with “real and raw emotions” behind the headlines., so she has spent her time trying to process the news the best way she could. Lindsie concluded her message, “With that being said, thank you all for your love, support, and prayers. It really means the world to my family and me.”
Lindsie Is Leaning On Her Friends During The Difficult Time
On November 21, the news broke that Todd and Julie were sentenced for their financial crimes after being found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud in June. The patriarch of the Chrisley family was sentenced to 12 years in prison plus 16 months probation, while his wife Julie got a less harsh sentence of seven years with 16 months probation.
The couple also lost their reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” which was responsible for their net worth. The Chrisleys got indicted on 11 counts of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy in 2019 but weren’t convicted until almost three years later. They were eventually found guilty of dodging taxes and committing fraud through yearslong schemes involving banks.
Following the announcement, Lindsie reacted to the news on her Instagram Story with a cryptic post. As The Blast reported, she took to her Instagram Story shortly after the sentencing to let fans in on how she was dealing with the devastating news.
Lindsie revealed she was alone during the tough time as she uploaded a clip that showed two of her friends in her bedroom with sober faces. She captioned the post, “The best girlfriends show up in the bad times with hugs and champagne 🍾 ✨ 🫶 ❤️.” The mother-of-one, however, didn’t show her face in the video update.
Lindsie’s half-sister Savannah also reacted to the news of her parents’ sentencing, leaning on her faith to get her through the tough time. She shared a cryptic Christian quote from Pastor Kim Kimberly Jones Pothier, popularly known as Real Talk Kim that read, “Noah didn’t stop building the ark to explain himself to everyone who doubted and hated on him. Keep building your ark. The rain will do the talking.”
