The Star Wars Disney+ “Andor” has scooped up not one but two nominations when the 2022 Critics Choice Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday, December 6.
The latest live-action Disney+ series set in a galaxy far, far away is a prequel to 2016’s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” and features actor Diego Luna reprising his role as Cassian Andor years before he signed up with the Rebellion to overthrow the Empire.

The 42-year-old Mexican actor has been nominated for Best Actor in a Drama Series alongside talents such as Sterling K. Brown for NBC’s “This Is Us” and Adam Scott in Apple TV’s “Severance.” The show is also up for Best Drama Series against some stiff competition, including HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” Netflix’s “The Crown,” and HBO’s “Euphoria.”
