Kirstie Alley may be gone but certainly not forgotten.

Her family announced on Monday, December 5, she had passed away from cancer that was “only recently discovered.”

Social media has blown up since news of her passing went public just hours ago.

Her “For Richer or Poorer” co-star Tim Allen tweeted, “A sweet soul pass on in Kristie Alley. Sad, sad news. Prayers for all her family.”

Steve Guttenberg, whom Alley starred alongside in “It Takes Two” with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson, also paid tribute to his on-screen love interest.

“Kirstie met me at her house with a tuna sandwich on my favorite bread . ‘Steve, I know all about you and your love of rye bread., eat some tuna.’ We were rehearsing ‘It Takes Two’, and every day she amazed me with her generosity of the tangible and with her soulfulness. The world is a bit empty without Kirstie,” he sincerely wrote.

Kirstie's Co-stars Pay Her Loving Tributes

As we previously reported, John Travolta was among the first celebrities to recognize and memorialize Alley.

“Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi commented on Travolta's post writing, “So sorry! Look whose talking was always my favorite! ??????.”

He also shared a video of them dancing in “Look Who’s Talking” to his Instagram Story.

Carmen Electra also shared a sweet post about Alley.

#rip to this kind, beautifully talented soul. we love you Kirstie ??,” she wrote.

Candace Owens, Megyn Kelly, Yvette Nicole Brown and PETA also paid Alley tributes.

Alley’s two children announced her passing via social media on Monday.

In a lengthy message shared to her Twitter, her family wrote: “To all our friends, far and wide around the world… We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered.”

Kirstie Was Passed Away At 71-Years-Old

Alley was surrounded by her closest family and “fought with great strength, leaving us with a certainty of her never-ending joy of living and whatever adventures lie ahead. As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother.”

The actress had an incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center.

Her family is grateful for their care.

“Our mother’s zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave. Us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did,” the letter continued. “We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you repsect our privacy at this difficult time.”

The note concluded, “With love always, True and Lillie Parker.”
