“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna says she can no longer speak politics because she has to pay her bills.
Lisa took to social media to explain the situation with QVC, where she sells her popular line of clothing. She appears to claim the shopping network gave her an ultimatum, stop talking important issues or we have to terminate our partnership.
The outspoken reality star wrote on her Instagram story, “I am sad to report. It would now seem I can’t use my platform to inform or question or say how I feel politically because the Karen’s have bombarded QVC begging them to fire me and saying they will no longer buy my clothes.”
Lisa added, “It is a shame that I must be muzzled in order to support my family but that is just what it is. Remember you know how I feel. Use your voice and vote.”
She ended, “I will be on the right side of history and in the end THAT IS WHAT MATTERS MOST.”
It’s unclear what the “Karens” were upset about because Lisa has always been vocal about her opinions. Earlier this month, she celebrated the Supreme Court decision ruling on gay rights in the workplace. She reposted a tweet from Andy Cohen reading, “Hey Brett Kavanaugh – fuck you.”
A couple of people on Twitter took issue with a throwback Halloween costume worn by Lisa and her husband Harry Hamlin. One person wrote, “Andy Cohen Implies Bravo Sees No Issue With Lisa Rinna And Harry Hamlin's Shocking 2015 Halloween Costume.”
Another wrote, “Lisa Rinna& her husband & his SWASTIKA Hitler Hate. ARE WORSE THEN ANYTHING ELSE ON THE SHOW JUST THE LEVEL OF HATRED THAT SHIRT REPRESENTS IS DISGUSTING IF YOU DONT FIRE THEM IT SHOWS THE WORLD THAT HATRED, VIOLENCE, RACISM ARE OK AS LONG AS IT'S RINNA."
Lisa has not addressed the Halloween costume backlash.
