Savannah Chrisley could potentially lose custody of her 10-year-old adopted sister, Chloe Chrisley.
The reality TV star was recently granted custody of her younger brother, Grayson Chrisley, and Chloe, following her parent’s prison sentencing.
Savannah Gains Custody Of Chloe Chrisley
Chloe is the daughter of Savannah’s older brother, Kyle Chrisley, and his ex, Angela Johnson. Chloe was born in 2012, but Kyle lost custody of his daughter in 2016 due to his drug addiction and bipolar disorder.
This led Johnson having to share custody with Todd Chrisley.
That same year, she was arrested for filing a false application for Medicaid assistance, which led to Todd having full custody.
Chloe Chrisley's Biological Mother, Angela Johnson
Given the recent fraud scandal surrounding the patriarch and matriarch of the Chrisley family, Johnson wants full custody of her daughter back.
According to reports, Johnson is preparing to regain full custody of Chloe.
She explained that she’s been working with a legal team for years to get the 10-year-old back, but admitted it’s been really hard.
The Chrisley’s previously lived in Atlanta before moving to Tennessee. Johnson is based in South Carolina, so all of moves have created a jurisdictional nightmare in her fight to regain custody.
Johnson Wants Back Full Custody Of Chloe
She has “not filed any legal papers… as of right now” to become the sole guardian of Chloe.
Johnson explained to TMZ, “I want her home. She deserves to be home. … I’m her biological mom.”
Chloe’s biological mother insists she didn’t commit Medicaid fraud and was adamant that she has proof she didn’t commit Medicaid fraud.
She insinuates Todd and Julie had something to do with getting arrested.
“My record was clean. Nothing on my record for 26, 27 years I never had anything on my record until ‘somebody’ said, ‘Oh, well she committed Medicaid fraud.’ No, I did not,” she said in a video to the outlet.
"It's Not Right" For Savannah To Have Custody
Johnson also weighed in on Savannah gaining custody of Chloe.
“I mean as far as Savannah goes with Chloe, I don’t think it’s right, because at the end of the day… my thing is, I’m her biological mom. I was cut out of her life. I didn’t walk away from her. I was pushed out of her life and they wanted me to forget about Chloe, and they wanted Chloe to forget about me, like I don’t exist.”
Johnson is worried Chloe has forgotten about her family in SC.
“She has family back home. My whole side of the family, she probably won’t even remember because she’s been away six years almost,” Johnson said. “But for them to continue to keep her away from me… that’s not right.”
Johnson Is Worried Chloe Has Forgotten About Her Other Family
She explained she didn’t know why she had to do joint custody with Todd and Julie to begin with.
“I would have never kept Chloe away from her other side… if they wanted to see her, they could see her. But for us to go from joint custody to them taking her all the way, that is just too far,” Johnson said.
Johnson has two other children who are in her possession.
