It's a "no bones" day for fans of Noodle, the TikTok famous pug.
The loveable pup who would predict if each day was a "bones" or "no bones" day has passed away at the age of 14. In a TikTok video, Noodle's owner, Jonathan Graziano shares the sad news of the beloved pup's passing.
Noodle The "Bones" Or "No Bones" Pug Has Passed Away
"I am so sorry to have to share this, but Noodle passed yesterday," he began explaining the sad news. "He was at home, he was in my arms, and this is incredibly sad, it's incredibly difficult. It's a day I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive. And, although this is very sad, I wanted to let you know and I wanted to encourage you to celebrate him while we're navigating this sadness. He lived 14-and-a-half years, which is about as long as you can hope a dog can, and he made millions of people happy. What a run!"
He concluded his somber video with tears in his eyes by thanking his fans. "Thank you for loving him, thank you for embracing us," he said. "And give your dog a cheeseball tonight, but it has to be the fake stuff."
Noodle was clearly loved and adored. In just four hours, Graziano's video received more than 4 million views and 79,000 comments. Many of his fans dropped into the comment section to send condolence messages and loving thoughts for Graziano during this rough time.
"Sending you so much love ❤️," The Today Show wrote. One follower wrote, "Thanks for sharing Noodle with us. May he enjoy all the bones day in doggy heaven." Another said, "Oh Jon, I’m so sorry. Noodle was the luckiest dog in the world to have you as his person. We are sending you so much love ❤️"
Noodle Predicted The Day As "Bones" Or "No Bones" Days
Graziano adopted the rescue dog when the pup was 7 years old. Last year, the two became "TikTok famous" for Noodle's "bones" or "no bones" days. In the morning, Graziano would prop the pug up in his dog bed to see if he would stand up, meaning it's a "bones day" and that encouraged people to go out and conquer the day with confidence. If he flopped back down, it would be a "no bones" day meaning it's not the best day to take unnecessary chances. Noodle's fans loved to see what kind of day it was going to be. Some days, they even got "super bones" days.
A at visit to TODAY in October 2021, Graziano said, "Noodle has brought joy to so many people online. I can't believe it."
He went on to explain how the "bones" and "no bones" thing came to be. "This 'no bones' video is something that I would just do as a silly little ritual for us in the morning to check in and see how he was doing. And then it took off," he said. "People started using it as a forecast for how their day was going to go and I leaned into it. We all need a little positivity right now."
Graziano wanted people to know that even if it's a "no bones" day, that doesn't mean it will be a bad day. "A bones day is a day where you just have to go after your ambition or a task you were putting off," he said. "A no bones day is a day where you have permission to wear soft clothes, self-care, take a bath."
