Who Is Ansel Elgort’s Girlfriend, Violetta Komyshan?

“Baby Driver” actor, Ansel Elgort, has been dating his high school sweetheart, Violetta Komyshan, for almost a decade. And the two are still obsessed with each other, even after rumors started swirling that Elgort had an affair with his “West Side Story” co-star, Rachel Zegler.

Komyshan, a ballet dancer, met Elgort freshman year while attending New York City's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art.

“I was with my friend, and he was walking down the block,” Komyshan toldCosmopolitan

“I didn't even know he went to my school—I just thought he was really attractive. I looked at him and told my friend, 'Oh my God, that guy's so hot,' and she's like, 'Oh, that's Ansel, he goes to LaGuardia,” she continued.

The two briefly split in 2014, following the release of Elgort’s movie “The Fault in Our Stars.”

A source toldUs Weekly at the time, “They tried to navigate his commitments, but between filming and press for the movies [it got difficult].”

However, five months after their split, the two reconciled.

“I was doing okay,” Elgort reflected. But I knew something was missing, and I was like, 'Oh, that's love.'"

Since getting back together, the two have advertised their love on social media. In 2018, “The Goldfinch” actor wished his girlfriend a happy birthday on Instagram.

“She’s 22 today. She’s genuine, sweet, caring, hard working, talented. She shines bright and always puts a smile on my face. I don’t wana imagine life without her. Happy birthday Violetta,” he wrote alongside photos of the brunette beauty.

In February of this year, Komyshan wished Elgort a Happy Valentine’s Day writing, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my other half ?.”

Komyshan even appeared in Elgort’s music video for his 2017 song, “Thief.”

The dancer is also very close to Elgort’s family. His father is a well-known photographer, Arthur Elgrot, who’s best known for his work in Vogue. His mother, Grethe Holby, is a theatre producer who founded American Opera Projects. His brother and sister, Warren and Sophie, are also photographers.

Komyshan, whose parents are originally from Ukraine, is from New York and grew up in Brooklyn. She trained at the American Ballet Theatre and is currently a member of the dance company, Ballet Next.

According to her bio on Ballet Next, “Violetta was chosen at age 11 to train free in Manhattan in a building shared with American Ballet Theatre. After graduating from that program, she attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia high school as a dance major. She did summer intensives with companies throughout the U.S.A., but the one most memorable to her was a month training at the American Academie of Dance in Paris and at Paris Opera Ballet — with one of her idols, Violette Verdy. BalletNext is her first tenure as a member of a professional company.”
