'Vanderpump Rules' Star Lala Kent Breaks Silence Over Firing Scandal: 'I’ve Had An Awakening'

Lala Kent is the first "Vanderpump Rules" star to speak out since Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired from the Bravo show last week. Stepping up and owning her "white privilege," the former SUR hostess took to social media on Monday, June 15 and addressed the scandal that's rocked the Lisa Vanderpump's hit reality show. Telling her 1.4 million Instagram followers that she's had an "awakening." Fans have not been kind to Lala Kent this week with many pointing out her aggressive behavior towards her castmates.
Posting a black and white aerial shot of protestors holding "black lives matter" signs from Sunday's Hollywood protest, which Lala Kent attended, she wrote a heartfelt message taking responsibility for her part in the movement.
"The last few weeks I’ve had an awakening I’ve never experienced before," she captioned the powerful photo. Continuing by reminding fans that she's "always been a supporter of the BLM movement; I’ve been a supporter even before then. As the days go on I realize that that isn’t enough."
Turning the focus to herself, Lala Kent continued, "For real change that I, like so many, want to see, I need to check my privilege. I have to acknowledge every difference, and help advance the future. I need to educate myself everyday." Adding that she doesn't "want the protests to 'calm down,'" or "the conversation to stop," the "Vanderpump Rules" star said, "I don’t want people to stop calling me out on things that otherwise, my inherent privilege, wouldn’t see."

Ending her lengthy statement, the Bravo personality concluded, "I really love you all. Here is to adjusting our country- justice, equality, compassion- Change" before adding the hashtag "Black Lives Matter." Lala Kent has been among the "Pump Rules" stars who fans want to see gone after the network took action against Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for racially profiling their ex co-star Faith Stowers. Although the duo apologized for their actions, it wasn't enough for fans who demanded Bravo fired the pair.

Fans are also coming for Lala Kent, Jax Taylor, and Brittany Cartwright. Many pointed out Lala's "bossy" and intimidating behavior towards her castmates, while calling Jax "homophobic." Brittany took heat after Stowers claimed she called Faith a "nappy-headed ho" during one of their fights, something Cartwright has denied.
While Bravo has not fired anyone besides Stassi and Kristen, many fans think it's only a matter of time before the show unravels. Lala is the only cast member to speak out about the movement after the duo were canned.
