Brittany Cartwright is said to be completely "overwhelmed" as her mother, Sherri Cartwright, remains in the ICU in Kentucky.
Following the sudden firings of her "Vanderpump Rules" co-stars, including Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, Brittany is going through an understandably hard time as her mom continues to face a health crisis and her husband, Jax Taylor, faces his own potential firing from the Bravo reality series.
On June 14, Us Weekly magazine shared a report in regard to Brittany's current hardships.

“Brittany is beyond overwhelmed,” a source told the magazine. “Her mom is in the hospital, in the ICU, and that matters more than anything else. Imagine dealing with that and combating comments calling her a racist, when she is anything but that?”
Earlier this month, Faith Stowers, who was featured on the sixth season of "Vanderpump Rules" as the only African American cast member the show has seen, accused Brittany of hurling a racist slur towards her after learning she had slept with her now-husband, Jax.

While Brittany denied the allegation on Instagram a short time after it was made, many fans and followers of the series now want to see both her and Jax fired from the show.
“She’s being hit at all angles,” the insider continued. “This week has been a lot for her. However, her sole focus has shifted to her mom. That is undoubtedly her top priority and all she is concerned with focusing her energy on. Her mom is her whole world and she’s very worried. She’s also blessed to have a strong support system by her side."

"Jax has his flaws, but when it comes to being Brittany’s rock, he has not wavered," the source explained. "He is unconditionally and wholeheartedly there for her, as are her closest friends. She knows she is loved and supported as she navigates through this really difficult time.”
On Sunday, Brittany’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly that Sherri “is currently in the ICU due to serious complications from bladder surgery. Brittany has been beside herself and asking for prayers. She is planning to go to Kentucky to be by her mother’s bedside next week."

While Brittany hopes to see her mom soon, there have been added precautions and restrictions at hospitals due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"It’s been complicated having visitors at the hospital due to COVID-19 which has been very difficult for Brittany and her family,” the insider explained.
