Dakota Fanning, 26, looked stylish on Friday while standing outside her new home, as furniture was being delivered.

The “Man on Fire” actress wore a red and white gingham dress, with a matching headband, and colorful Gucci sneakers.

Fanning’s mother, Heather Joy Arrington, stood right beside her wearing a long black dress. The two seemed to be in good spirits as they enjoyed a laugh while outside.

“It’s a rare occasion that we get to be together,” the youngest Fanning said. “So we’re enjoying each other’s company.”

Before the lockdown, the Fanning sisters were set to start filming the movie, "The Nightingale," in Budapest. The film, which is based on Kristin Hannah’s novel, is about two sisters trying to survive in Nazi-occupied France.

“We’ve dreamed of this for a long time, and we talked for a while about what project could get us together,” Fanning told the magazine.

She continued, “We thought maybe we didn’t want to play sisters, but we’ve grown up in this industry and have a unique understanding of what it means to be sisters. So, at least the sister part we’ve got down.”

But due to Covid-19, production has been halted for the time being. However, the 22-year-old insists it’ll happen on the day.

In the meantime, you can watch Fanning in the Hulu series, “The Great.” which she’s received praise for playing a young Catherine the Great, opposite Nicholas Hoult, who plays Russia’s Peter III.

“Being asked to play Catherine in this show was a gift. Tony wrote a play in Australia that was very much in this witty, irreverent voice,” Fanning said. “As Catherine is gaining her voice on The Great, I was gaining mine. I went to pitch meetings and saw the mechanics of the series from the beginning."

The show, which is Fanning’s first comedic role, “grapples with themes that are super relevant, even though it’s historical.”

And while the actress is known for starring in dramatic genres, she likes being able to do banter. “That was hugely appealing to me. I love challenging myself,” Fanning added.

Before becoming a Hollywood star, Fanning’s first role was playing the younger version of her sister in the miniseries, “Taken.”

She played the same role in “I Am Sam,” for which her sister, Dakota, starred and received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for. At the time, she was only eight years old.

Dakota’s most recent work is in the period drama series, “The Alienist,” where she plays Sara Howard.

The show’s first season aired on TNT. The second season will premiere on July 26th, 2020.
