Daytime talk show host Kelly Clarkson is on the road to becoming a single woman again.
The former "American Idol" winner filed for divorce from her husband of seven years Brandon Blackstock.
News broke earlier today about the couple's split, and Kelly's fans were stunned.
Kelly and Brandon seemed like a good match. Months earlier, Kelly had been sharing photos of her husband and kids as they were in quarantine.
Fans are still reeling from the divorce, and of course, they're curious about what caused the couple's split.

Kelly's fame began when she one the first season of Fox's singing competition "American Idol."
Fans fell in love with the sweet and humble Texas girl. Following her win, Kelly began a successful music career.
While Kelly's music career was going well, not much was known about her personal life.
But in 2012, she began dating Brandon Blackstock, who was a talent manager.
Brandon is the stepson of Kelly's good friend and idol, singer Reba McEntire. Reba was the one who introduced the two.
In October 2013, the couple married, and a few months later in June 2014, she gave birth to their daughter River Rose.
Kelly was also stepmother to Brandon's children Savannah and Seth, from his first marriage to Melissa Ashworth.
In April 2016, their family got bigger when Kelly gave birth to a son named Remington Alexander.
Kelly, Brandon, and their kids looked like one big, happy family. But like many Hollywood marriages, Kelly and Brandon's seems to be over.

Whenever a celebrity couple divorce, infidelity is usually suspected.
Shortly after the couple's wedding in October 2013, rumors began spreading that Brandon may be stepping out on Kelly.
Clarkson eventually took to social media to squash the rumors and laugh them off. Even Blackstock's ex-wife, Melissa Ashworth came to his defense.

Celebrities have busy schedules that often take them away from home.
Brandon works as a talent manager and has worked with many music artists.
As for Kelly, she still has her singing career. Plus, she's also a guest judge on the NBC reality singing competition "The Voice," and hosts a daytime TV show.
Back in the fall of 2019, she decided to try her hand at being a talk show host. "The Kelly Clarkson Show" debuted in September and quickly became a ratings hit. Kelly also received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
With Kelly filming her shows and Brandon managing his clients, the two were constantly on the go. With their busy schedules, it may have been tough for them to find downtime together.
Like many couples, fans wonder if they may have drifted apart, and despite attempts to save their relationship, they realized it was over.

While it looks like Kelly and Brandon are headed for divorce court, many fans are hoping they'll change their minds.
In the past, there's been plenty of celebrity couples who called off their divorce and reunited.
Whether Kelly and Brandon get back together remains to be seen.
But with the children involved, neither wants to turn their divorce into a battle.
With Kelly and Brandon, they want to do what's best for their family. Even though they're no longer married, they want to remain on friendly terms as they co-parent.
