Kelly Clarkson Demands Prenup Be Enforced In Divorce From Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson wants her prenup honored in her divorce with Brandon Blackstock. In documents obtained by The Blast, the 38-year-old has cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the end of their almost seven-year marriage and made it clear they had a prenup when they got hitched in 2013. The talk show host has also filed for joint legal and physical custody of their two children together -- five-year-old daughter River Rose and four-year-old son Remington Alexander.
Since there is a prenup, Kelly Clarkson has asked the court to terminate any chance of her paying spousal support to Brandon Blackstock. Of course, he's country superstar Reba McEntire's stepson so he's not hurting for money either. The estranged couple already had plans in place in case of a split. Their prenup was signed on October 15, 2013, just five days before they said "I do." As for property, they will sort that out later just like the date of their separation.

As of now, the date they separated is not listed but could be significant. Kelly Clarkson has also checked the box indicating both parties will pay for their own attorney in the divorce. The Blast broke the story, the "Since You Been Gone" singer filed for divorce on June 4 after just six years of marriage. We're told there's no drama surrounding their split and it was an amicable decision. Neither of them cheated, it was just time to pull the plug.

It's interesting timing considering they recently put their family mega-mansion in Los Angeles on the market. As The Blast reported, Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock listed their $10 million home in May. Their San Fernando Valley home has eight-bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and two half baths, according to its listing. The incredible property is listed for $9,995,000. Just because they are getting a divorce doesn't mean they haven't been spending time together. Kelly Clarkson recently revealed that she's been filming her show at their ranch in Montana alongside her kids, husband, and her stepchildren.
