Halsey Shares Rare Snap With Younger Brother To Praise Him For 'Finding His Voice'

Halsey is one proud big sister! The "Nightmare" singer delighted her fans when she shared a black and white photo with her younger brother Sevian Frangipane on Tuesday, June 9. Paying tribute to her little bro, Halsey revealed that he's been on the frontlines marching for equality every single day of the George Floyd protests. Gushing over how "proud" she is of him, Halsey congratulated her sibling for "finding his voice" at one of the most important times in history.
Posting the black and white snap, the duo appeared to be at one of the protests before stopping to document this monumental moment. Putting one arm over her Sevian while throwing a fist in the air, Halsey showed off her tight tummy in a crop top while letting her natural hair hang loose on the top of her head. Pairing the rare and powerful picture with an even more powerful caption, the star made fans stop and think.

"Just want to take a minute to say how proud I am of my little brother @sevianfrangipane for finding his voice and being out protesting every single day," the singer began her heartfelt message. Dishing out advice to her fans, Halsey continued, "keep your family close right now if you’re lucky enough to have them to rely on."
"if you are NON-BLACK and: married to a black person, the parent of a black child, or the child of a black parent, or any other interfamilial relationship with a black person, then this is a time to let them talk when they feel like talking."

Continuing with her meaningful post, she added, "listen and listen with love. Don’t assume they aren’t upset because they haven’t expressed issues or traumas in the past. A lot of repressed feelings and memories may be uncovered right now. Receive it with grace empathy and promise to learn or change where need be." Halsey has been on the battlefield, marching and protesting for equality and justice. As The Blast reported, the star revealed she was shot twice with rubber bullets while peacefully protesting a few weeks ago.

Not only is Halsey on the frontlines, but she also helped those who were injured by cops. Stressing that her mom was an EMT, the star took an emergency kit to the protest in Santa Monica, CA, and treated those who were bleeding and teargassed. She also shared pictures of the destruction and aftermath which happened to show her ex-boyfriend, Yungblud, helping those injured right alongside her. Halsey has been one star who's been instrumental in getting the word out, even donating $25k to an anti-Minneapolis Police group.
