“Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada is speaking out in support of her ex-fiancé Carl Crawford saying he never touched her or spoke down to her during their 4-year relationship.
The reality star released a video saying she felt the need to address Carl’s situation. She captioned the post, "The Carl I’m hearing about lately is not the Carl I personally know. During our 4 Year engagement & while co-parenting our son, Carl has never been violent or threatening. We have a positive relationship.
Again, I take the time to speak on this for my son, who I never want to grow up and feel as if his father hurt his mother in any way."
In the video, Evelyn starts off, “I wanted to address something that took place last week in connection with my son’s father, Carl Crawford. Initially, I wasn’t going to say anything, I wasn’t going to comment.”
She continued, “I understand that some people are always going to connect us together because I am his ex-fiancé and we were together. After my team got their second or third phone call in connection with what happened last week, the domestic violence arrest, I had to say something.”
“I see stories popping up with people trying to change my story and my narrative. I refuse to sit here and allow the world to change my story and my truth."

“I’m putting this video together, let me just stress one thing, but no means am I trying to discredit anyone else’s story. I know what that feels like. I don’t know what happened with the relationship before me. I don’t know what happened with the relationship after me. I stay in my lane. I’m just talking about my personal experience because I was engaged to be married to this man, I was with him for 4 years.”
Evelyn got passionate adding, “I have to protect my son. Carl has never put his hands on me. Carl has never intimidated me. Carl has never called me bitches or hoes or ever stood over me trying to intimidate me.
She added, “Yeah, we broke up for other reasons, but it wasn’t for that. I also want to say for anyone who is dealing with domestic violence, you know I take this very seriously, you can go to EvelynLozada.com, I have people on my staff that will answer emails and give you advice.”

The reality star ended, “I really felt I needed to address this. I didn’t want this to continue to snowball into something that is not true. I’m just speaking from my heart, I’m just speaking about my truth in connection with my son’s father. I’ve never had that situation happened to me and we are cool to this day. All I care about is we co-parent our son. And he is able to co-parent with the mother of his child. Really at the end of the day, that’s what is important here, our kids.”
Earlier this month, Carl was arrested on domestic violence charges after an ex-accused him of abuse. He denies all allegations of wrongdoing. The case is still pending in Texas Court.
Evelyn has been an advocate for domestic violence for years after having dealt with abuse from her ex-husband.
