Ramona Singer is opening up about her up and down friendship with her newest "Real Housewives of New York City" co-star, Leah McSweeney.
After Leah put Ramona Singer on blast for her behavior in Rhode Island and called her out for an inappropriate post about the "Black Lives Matter Movement," Ramona spoke out about the drama between them while also addressing her current thoughts on Luann de Lesseps and applauding her for the way in which she's grown and changed in recent years.

“With Leah, had she not done the Hampton thing, I still would have been as upset with her in Newport,” Ramona explained during an interview with PEOPLE Now, via Reality Blurb.
As fans of "The Real Housewives of New York City" well know, Leah got wasted in The Hamptons and exhibited plenty of odd behavior on the show. Then, weeks later, she had too much to drink during a cast trip to Rhode Island and lashed out at Ramona after she expressed that she didn't want Leah's sister to tag along.

According to Ramona, she has taken a liking to Leah, even though they haven't always gotten along on the show.
“There’s something about Leah that I do really adore. I let her get away with things I would not let anyone else get away with. It’s almost like a motherly thing or sisterly thing or an aunt kinda thing. I want her to hold a higher expectation of herself,” she explained.
“I want her to be the best she can be and then I get disappointed when she does something messed up," Ramona continued. "If someone else does it — if Sonja [Morgan] does it, like that’s just Sonja — but no, Leah, come on. Tow the rope."

As for Luann, Ramona said she's gained “a lot more respect” for the cabaret star in recent months.
“I think she’s grown so much and she’s really changed so much. She really has a sense of who she is and owns it,” Ramona said. “I felt in the past she was kind of tending to be something different or, you know, not showing herself, hiding behind other images, hiding behind the name ‘The Countess,’ hiding behind what was really going on in her life. Now, she says it like it is."

Ramona went on to say that after filming began on season 12 last summer, she saw a very positive change in her co-star.
"She’s more real and I love that about her and I just really have a bond with her I never had before and I’m enjoying it tremendously,” Ramona gushed.
