Salma Hayek Honors Prince With Special BLM Birthday Tribute: 'Moment You Dreamt Of And Waited For'

Salma Hayek couldn’t help but wonder what Prince would think about these trying times if he was still around.
The legendary actress paid tribute to the late artist on Sunday to mark what would have been his 62 birthday. Salma shared an awesome picture that featured herself in a deep conversation with the singer. Hayek wore a chic, yellow dress while Prince wore a matching white ensemble. She stated that she misses him immensely and pondered what he would bring to the world if he was still here.

"With everything that’s happening, maybe many people will forget that today is Prince’s birthday. But not me.,” Salma wrote in the caption of [her post.
She continued, “xxx.”
The phrase, “It has started” was carefully thought out and one can only assume she is referring to the push to end racism. She included #blacklivesmatter to show her solidarity and to support end of systemic racism.
Prince was well-known supporter of racial equality and used his music to bridge the gap between people of all shapes, sizes, colors.

Hayek didn’t just speak out about police brutality in the United States, she used her platform to spread awareness about an incident that happened south of the border.
"Justice for Giovanni Lopez, who was detained in Mexico by 10 policemen for allegedly not wearing a mask,” she wrote. “He was eventually found shot in the leg and beaten to death. Corruption and police brutality has to stop..”

Hayek went as far as to start her own hashtag to support equality and end racism.
"I am starting the hashtag #unitedjuntos so that the Latino community can show our support towards the African-American community.,” she declared.

Congratulations are in order because Salma just became a grandma to a baby horse! The actress proudly shared pictures of her new fowl and boasted about her excitement.
"To start the weekend on a nice note I am happy to share with you the news of this mare that I rescued from the slaughterhouse. She just thanked me by having this beautiful fowl, and my heart is bursting with joy! I guess I’m a grandma once again!!!?,” she captioned the series of pics.
