'Pump Rules' Star Jax Taylor Says Friendship With Tom Sandoval 'Wasn't Working' As Lisa Vanderpump Weighs In

Jax Taylor opened up about his strained relationship with his former best friend, Tom Sandoval, during Tuesday's episode of the "Pump Rules: After Show".
After appearing on Zoom with wife Brittany Cartwright at the "Vanderpump Rules" reunion, Jax admitted that his relationship with Sandoval came to an end after it no longer worked for him as his boss and co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, revealed what she believed went wrong between the two former besties that led to their summer 2019 falling out.

"I don’t hate [Sandoval] I just think it’s time for us to take a little bit of a breather. I just need to go this way and you need to go this way for a while. That’s all. There’s nothing wrong with that. You can maybe come back, if not. But that’s growth and sometimes we take our different paths. It’s sad, of course. It’s sad when anybody does that. But it just wasn’t working for me anymore, personally," Jax explained.

According to Lisa, she believes that Jax has grown frustrated by certain cast members due to what he believes is a lock of growth.
"What I’ve seen this season is there’s a lot of frustration in the group because of accumulative behavior and as they’re trying moving on and trying to make the right choices, they’re getting irritated with people that are repeating their patterns," she explained.
Lisa went on to say that while some cast members have remained stagnant, she has seen growth in Jax.

"I don’t feel Jax is repeating the pattern of being unfaithful [and] being an a**hole. But he’s still Jax Taylor, which can be equally frustrating. But I think he’s getting frustrated with people that aren’t making changes," Lisa continued.
"Sometimes when I see them all together I love the fact that they are such a group and they’ve come through it, thick and thin. And now to see these little crevasses in the relationships, that kind of worries me, that ultimately we don’t come full-circle," she added.

While Lisa is upset about how things went down between some of the friend groups, she said she's hopeful about a season nine reconciliation.
"We’ve got Stassi’s wedding this year and Im hoping that this season, maybe we can try to put some balm on the wounds," she shared.
