Gymnast Nastia Liukin Celebrates Thanksgiving Doggystyle!

Whenever Thanksgiving rolls around, celebs bombard their fans with images of them sitting around a dinner table enjoying some turkey. That was, however, not the case for Nastia Liukin, who experienced a slightly more dramatic day thanks to her parent dog's attempt to find a new home.

Liukin might have inadvertently won this year's Thanksgiving with the activity that she partook in. The Russian-born athlete posted a hilarious update that included a picture of her barefoot and holding a puppy.

The Southern Methodist University dropout wore a brown sports bra over its matching bottoms as she posed on the street next to a construction site. The "Stick It" cameo girl held up the peace sign with both eyes closed, explaining below:

"when your parents' puppy *tries* to run away on thanksgiving day, there is a whole new meaning to "turkey trot." meaning, I looked like an absolute turkey running around our neighborhood like this to catch him. but give me a goal, and I'll do what it takes hope you all had a lovely thanksgiving!!!"

Liukin's followers immediately saw the hilarity in it, and they let her know as much in the comment section. "This is the story of my life!! [laughter emoji]. happy thanksgiving girlfriend!," one fan chimed.

"There's nothing faster than a loose puppy that thinks you're playing [laughter emojis]," another later added. A third had this question, "Love this!! So what was more difficult: winning a gold medal or catching that puppy?" and a fourth fan screamed, "NOOO [multiple laughter emojis]."

"Bruh imagine you're drunk at thanksgiving and see Nastia Liukin running down the street after a puppy," a fifth person joked. Others were more concerned about the seeming lack of hair on the athlete's head, with one stating, "Ok I definitely thought you shaved your head for a second."

Liukin had deliciously taken fans aback when she showed up as Dorothy from "The Wizard Of Oz" for Halloween. Per The Blast, the former artistic gymnast gave a sneak peek of her outfit in an Instagram clip that showcased her twirling.

The video began with an image of a younger version of the five-time Olympic gold medalist in the blue and white striped gown. It soon morphed into Liukin taping her red block heels together before walking down the famous 'yellow brick road.'

She finished the video by turning around to give viewers a 360 look at the complete costume. As expected, the footage was set to the beloved film's theme music. "Then vs now #halloween," Liukin wrote under the post. Excited fans called her "the cutest ever," "iconic," "incredible, and "absolutely fabulous," in return.

Last month, The Blast observed that Liukin enjoyed a night out with a mysterious new man. The 33-year-old had shown off the stranger herself when she posted a mirror selfie video that they captured inside a Hollywood Hotel on Instagram.

The pair held each other's hands as Liukin recorded the video, set to Aretha Franklin's "You Send Me." What stood out in the clip was their matching black outfits, with the only child of two former Soviet champion gymnasts in a deconstructed cocktail dress.

The cocktail dress showed off her trim figure as she swayed from side to side. It also had ruffles and was sheer in some areas, including the chest, thighs, and backside. Her short hair is slicked to the back of her ears, and her feet are clad in half-covered nude heels. As for her mystery man, he looked dapper in a two-piece and shirt paired with brown shoes. 

Fans were instantly besotted with seeing Liukin in such a gorgeous dress, concluding that she and the man were out on a date. However, it turned out that they were headed for a "Dancing with the Stars" taping.

One fan who had seen her amongst the crowd told the New York University alum how "fire" she and her supposed beau looked. A second commenter goofed, "He must provide so much shade and protection from the sun hahah!" Fans are definitely looking forward to getting more details about Liukin's secret bae — if he is that.
