The Love Story Continues For Ollie After His Real Pumpkin Was Swapped Out With A Plushie

Everyone following the love story between Ollie the pup and his Halloween pumpkin can now breathe a sigh of relief as this TikTok saga has a happy ending.

Ollie's owners, and pretty much everyone following this unlikely love story unfold, had concerns about how the adorable doggo would handle his best friend, or emotional support pumpkin, dying. It's been four weeks since their love story began, and after a few updates on how things were progressing, viewers get to see that there is a happy ending.

In the most recent update video on Good Boy Ollie's TikTok page, the pup's owners swapped out the real, dying pumpkin for a plush pumpkin. Four weeks after picking his very own pumpkin out at the pumpkin patch, he was still carrying it around everywhere he went. His owners were putting the pumpkin in the refrigerator at night in the hopes to preserve it a bit so the transition could wait as long as possible.

Every morning, Ollie would collect his pumpkin from the fridge after it was placed in a basket, since the stem broke off weeks ago. He would then carry his pumpkin in the basket on his walk with him. But the sad truth was the pumpkin was rotting and something needed to be done to save this love story and avoid a sad ending.

The time had come for the big swap to happen. When Ollie picked up his pumpkin in the basket in the morning, it was the plush pumpkin rather than the real one. Will he notice? Will he accept it as his emotional support pumpkin? Everyone had concerns about how this transition would be accepted. "He collected it as normal," words over the video reads.
