Elon Musk Shamed After 'Happy Thanksgiving' Post

Elon Musk got into the holiday spirit and wished his Twitter followers a “Happy Thanksgiving” … it didn’t go well.
Elon Musk Slammed On Twitter
Elon Musk’s comments were filled with rage, hate, love, suspicion, gratitude, and all the emotions possible after he posted a Thanksgiving message. It was mostly hate as followers want to know how in the heck, he could have the gall to wish his followers well when he just laid off more than half the employees at “old Twitter” just ahead of the holiday.
The new owner of Twitter is accused of taunting those he laid off and people still on Twitter who can’t stand him but refuse to go. “I am thankful for TikTok instead of this trash platform”
Some followers let him know the group of people who won’t enjoy the holiday this year is “the fired Twitter employees won't. But we move.”
The Elon Musk Hate Kept Coming
Who would have thought two little words that both have joyous meanings on their own even more put together could cause so much drama?
“Elon, I am utterly offended that you fathom you can even speak to me right now. Thanksgiving? You RUINED my holiday season with your buying twitter. And then to unban that criminal Trump!? I will be moving to Mexico and switching to Tumblr. Unreal,” wrote one follower who refused to wish the billionaire a happy Thanksgiving back.
One follower implored those commenting with hate to not fall into the trap that they assume Musk is trying to set. “It’s sad that this is meant to gaslight liberals, instead of being sincere.”
Elon Musk Laid Off Twitter 2.0 Employees
There were also a lot of people reminding Musk that he just did a crappy thing to a lot of people. Musk laid off several employees of the company after he took it over. He simply stated that they fall in line with the new guideline, or they could leave. Some left, and others stayed.
Now, apparently, the ones that stayed also endured a mass layoff, and here goes Musk sending out well-wishes. Some people refused to let him get away with that.
“How are 3.7k+ people supposed to enjoy their thanksgiving because of your takeover?” inquired a follower of the trend.
“On the evening before Thanksgiving, some Twitter engineers received an email saying they were fired because their “code is not satisfactory.” Others received “performance warning” emails asking them to “restore our confidence and demonstrate your contributions to the team”
“You fired a bunch of people yesterday who had enough faith in Twitter 2.0 that they stayed on-board. They were given 1 month severance as opposed to the 3 months given to people who simply left when given the option. You punished them for believing in your vision of Twitter,” chimed in another frustrated follower.
Shockingly Enough, People Still Appreciate Elon Musk
The mogul hasn’t responded to any of the hate for obvious reasons but that’s okay because he has people who believe in him and want all sorts of smoke from the Twitter heat aimed at the entrepreneur but most importantly, shielding the mogul from having to respond to the hate.
“What’s you’re favorite part of thanksgiving?” asked a follower with a genuine use of the smiley emoji. Many people wanted to know the answer to that, actually.
“Bless you Elon for allowing our voices to be heard. Stay safe and lovingly supported as they will come at you from all angles... We know the score and have your back... Happy Thanksgiving Blessings to you and your family. Ps.. loving the satire n humour back,” encouraged a follower.
“You gotta love @ElonMusk’s interaction and relative accessibility on this forum. I don’t remember such activities from that weirdo Jack,” wrote another.
“Many people will be including you in their reasons to be thankful this year.”
Do you think Elon Musk’s well-wishes were genuine?
