Larsa Pippen is still loving her Balenciaga garb, despite the company sexualizing children earlier this week.
Larsa Pippen Posts Balenciaga Gear
The influencer hopped on her private plane this week to go to Chicago with her daughter. We get that she was in the air for a few hours but there is no question her plane has wi-fi and that she wasn’t glued to her social media so she must have seen that the brand was on the brink of burning in hell after their latest campaign.
Pippen posted what looked to be a pair of Balenciaga track pants and may have even been her daughter wearing them. regardless the post is questionable seeing as Balenciaga disappeared from Twitter, took down their latest kids campaign, AND issued an apology for sexualizing children.
Balenciaga Went Too Far
In case you missed it, the clothing brand stepped out of the box again and made teddy bears to accompany their latest kid’s clothing drop only, the teddy bears were highly inappropriate. The plush, cuddly things were dressed in BDSM gear.
One bear was adorned in mesh bondage gear, some have black masks, and some are wearing leather rope and chains. There is no question it’s an odd choice for a kid’s line. We haven’t even gotten to the kicker, one of the props was a legal document about kiddie porn.
Balenciaga had the gall to use a legal US court document as decoration for the room. The papers in question featured the ruling on ‘Free speech coalition vs Ashcroft’ that Tucker Carlson described the document as an “endorsement for kiddie porn”.
Celebrities Stand Against Balenciaga
Since the drop of the controversial line, the brand scrubbed its site and apologized.
“We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms,” read the white text over a black background.
Alan Stewart was one of the first celebrities to tweet their disgust for the brand and its choices. Since then many celebs have noted how appalled they are and their disgust seems to be uniting people.
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent was so disgusted she dedicated several IG Story posts to the debacle.
“I'm sure I'll be shadow banned... again, for posting this- but I have to. I'm proud to not own one single piece of Balenciaga. Also, we need to know what that document under the Balenciaga bag says If you zoom in, it SEEMS to state some horrifying words.
Y'all- we need to do better. Reject the darkness, find the light. The well-being of our world and it's innocent beings depends on it.”
The reality star shared a post about the Balenciaga drop. She also followed up with a post from CBS News writing in detail about the new bags.
Larsa Pippen Missed The Boat
The OnlyFans model may very well have missed the boat on this one or as we mentioned, it could be her daughter wearing the brand and we are not about to judge a child's fashion choice this is grown-up people business! but, in the current climate, it would be considered tone-deaf to post about the brand that is currently being accused of trying to harm children.
