Arrest Warrant Issued For Shanquella Robinson's Friend After Suspicious Murder & Social Media Outcry

Shanquella Robinson’s family may finally begin to see some justice for their slain loved one. An arrest warrant has been issued for one of her friends.

The 25-year-old murder victim’s family was initially told she died from alcohol poisoning but when the autopsy report she had died from a “severe spinal cord injury and atlas luxation,” and nothing about alcohol poising was mentioned, authorities began to investigate.

While the “friend” who has been issued the warrant has not been identified, a local prosecutor for the state of Baja California Sur, Daniel de la Rosa Anaya, told ABC, “This case is fully clarified, we even have a court order, there is an arrest warrant issued for the crime of femicide to the detriment of the victim and against an alleged perpetrator, a friend of her who is the direct aggressor.”

De la Rosa Anaya went on to specify the incident as an attack, “Actually, it wasn't a quarrel, but instead a direct aggression. We are carrying out all the pertinent procedures such as the Interpol alert and the request for extradition to the United States of America. It's about two Americans, the victim, and the culprit...”

Salamondra Robinson, the victim’s mother spoke about the amazing news to ABC. “I feel so good, that's a good feeling. That's what we have been waiting for, for someone to finally be held accountable and arrested. I just can't wait for justice to be served.”

Robinson’s family has been trying to find out what happened to their family member since she went on vacation to Mexico and never returned home. As the incident unfolds more news is coming out about the few short days the young woman had gone away with her so-called friends.

The story jumbled around and went from Shanquella wasn’t feeling well to she had alcohol poisoning, to she was battered and injured at the time of her passing.

The victim’s family was further terrorized after finding out the shocking way their family member passed away. A video went viral that featured Shanquella is naked and being attacked by one of the people she went on the trip with.

The audio of the video was of another member of the trip telling the clearly struggling Shanquella to “fight back” and encouraging her to not just sit there when it was clear she had just been body slammed by her very aggressive friend.

There is no context around the short 18-second clip so it’s unclear how or why the fight started nor why Shanquella was naked and no one else was.

According to new information from the doctor who treated Shanquella at the hotel, the young woman was drunk and dehydrated. She recommended that they take her to a local hospital which they declined.

According to the original autopsy obtained by ABC, medical professionals arrived at 3:00 pm and within 15 minutes they declared her dead. More news has come out per a new report done by local officials and it's significantly different.

There was a medical consultation at 2:13 p.m. with a doctor from American Medical Center, the friends said she drank a lot and the doctor also noticed that she had vital signs but a poor verbal response.

Shanquella apparently had a seizure at 4:20 pm one of the vacation goers called 911, and emergency medicine arrived and noted she had a pulse, but it was decreased and she was having difficulty breathing.

At 4:49 pm they could no longer feel her pulse and began performing CPR which also ultimately failed.  She was declared deceased by 5:57 pm.

Currently, all six friends are being investigated for femicide, a type of gender-based violence.
