Salma Hayek shared a special tribute to Cameron Boyce on what would have been his 21st birthday.
The actress posted a cute photo from a 2015 red carpet premiere where the two co-stars embraced and smiled for the cameras. Boyce passed away in July 2019 after suffering a seizure at his home in Los Angeles.
"Happy birthday to my beautiful angel Cameron What a privilege to this world that you came on a day like today. May your legacy leave forever ?," Salma wrote in the caption of her post.
Hayek and Boyce actually had a friendly relationship because they both stared in the popular Adam Sandler franchise, "Grown Ups." In fact, Cameron played Keithie Feder, the son of Sandler and Hayek's characters.
The young star and the acting icon remained friendly after those films and he even showed up to a screening of the 2014 animated film "The Prophet," which featured Salma's voice as the character, Kamila.
Shortly after his passing in 2019, Salma released an emotional statement that described what a pleasure it was to have known him.
"I had the privilege to play Cameron’s mother in #grownups 1 and 2 and we stayed in touch through the years He was spirited, talented, kind, generous, funny and a shining light. His joy will live in our hearts forever as he goes on dancing and shining elsewhere. My heart goes to his lovely family."

As we previously mentioned, Cameron passed away from a seizure while he was at home. Boyce's family released a statement at the time that read, "It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron."
It continued, "He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated." It was later revealed that Boyce suffered from epileptic seizures in secret. He was 20-years-old when he died.

Cameron was also very popular for his role in the Disney franchise, "The Desendants." His co-star, Dove Cameron took his tragic passing extremely hard and broke down in tears while reading a letter she wrote to the late star. Months later, the 23-year-old actress did a day in her life video with Vogue where she got a tattoo in his honor.
Dove's tattoo was of a revolver with a single rose sticking out of the barrel and she explained that she is very pro-gun regulation. She said the tattoo is a commonly recognized anti-gun violence symbol that alines with Boyce's sentiment.
"My friend Cameron passed away a few months ago," Dove told the camera, "and he was starting this organization called Wield In Peace."
She continued, "He wanted to get influential people holding things that sort of looked like they were in the shape of a gun but then it would be something artistic or peaceful. He did it with a bouquet of flowers actually."
