George Floyd Protestors Post Video Of Hundreds Of Police Protecting Officer Derek Chauvin’s House

Hundreds of police officers were seen protecting the home of Officer Derek Chauvin as the outrage grows over the death of George Floyd.

A shocking video was posted on social media showing protestors outside Chauvin’s home in Minnesota. In the video, the woman filming shouts, “look how many. Look how many people are defending this killer’s house. Look at how many are protecting this killer’s house. LOOK AT HOW FUCKING MANY.”

The woman walks down the street scanning the what looks like an endless row of police standing in front of the property. The officers are all standing still while the protestors shout at them.

The Oakdale Police Department said, “Oakdale Police Department empathizes with a hurting community and recognizes the ability of its citizens to peacefully protest in public spaces in an orderly, civil and lawful manner.”

Protests are continuing to grow in the city with buildings being burned and damage being done as the calls for the officers involved to be arrested for the death of George Floyd.

On May 25, 2020, Minneapolis Police Officers responded to an alleged forgery in progress. Once they arrived at the scene, they put him in handcuffs, and Officer Derek Chauvin forcefully put Floyd on the ground.

As bystanders started walking by they noticed things weren’t normal and began filming the arrest. In the footage filmed, Officer Chauvin is seen placing his knee on Floyd’s neck with his face on the ground for at least seven minutes. The people who gathered around can be heard shouting at the officers to do something as Floyd laid their lifeless.

Another officer, Tou Thao, is seen scolding the bystanders and telling them to back off. He refuses to listen to the woman who works for the fire department. Once the ambulance arrives, they drag Floyd’s body onto a stretcher. He was pronounced dead once he arrived to the hospital.

After the death, Police have tried to say officers, "were able to get the suspect into handcuffs and noted he appeared to be suffering medical distress. Officers called for an ambulance." Floyd was not armed. Two other officers, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng, were involved in the arrest but not visible in the video.
