“Southern Charm” star Kathryn Dennis is making her first appearance on social media in over a week but still not providing her promised an explanation of alleged racist messages she sent.
On Wednesday evening, the reality star posted a photo of her daughter Kensie captioned, “Total mood #behappy #bekind #beyou.”
Kathryn had been silent on Instagram for nearly weeks after she promised to explain everything related to alleged racist messages she sent to a black radio host, Mika Gadsen.
Earlier this month, Kathryn was arguing with Mika about a planned “Trump Boat Parade.” The “Southern Charm” star said she wasn’t racist for supporting President Trump and deicded to send a monkey emoji to Mika.
Mika released the messages telling her followers, “This is what happens when a Black woman in #Charleston speaks up against white supremacy.”
On May 17, Kathryn tried to explain the messages writing, “I use that emoji all the time bc it looks silly and awkward and that’s my baseline. The account was anonymous I didn’t even know who I was messaging??? And now I’ve been labeled all this crazy stuff and it’s just not true. And it’s not fair. And I see now that I’m back on IG that some**** people are thrilled to use this situation to come up on their own. Use for their own benefit.”
Kathryn ended, “But I’m not gonna let that happen. Never have never will. I’m making a full statement tomorrow but I had to respond bc I cannot stand my character being annihilated. Please just be patient and know this shit is just not true.”
The reality star’s new social media post makes it appears she never plans to talk about the racist messages. As The Blast previously reported, Kathryn’s former costar, Cameran Eubanks, continues living her best life after quitting the show.
