Are ‘The Kissing Booth’ Stars Joey King & Jacob Elordi Still Together?

During a recent YouTube Livestream, Joey King, 20, announced the release date for the much-anticipated sequel, “The Kissing Booth 2.”

King told viewers the movie will be released on Netflix on July 24, two years after the original came out.

“The Kissing Booth” was a hit on Netflix, and one of the most-watched movies that summer.

In the film, King stars alongside Jacob Elordi, 22. The two play love interests. And guess what? They dated in real life after meeting on the set. Which begs the question….are they still together?

In 2018, before the original movie came out, King and Elordi posted several loved up photos together on Instagram (which have since been deleted).

They confirmed their romance that same year.

“Well, I thought he was very cute when we first met, but it started as a friendship. But before long I started to realize, ‘Hey, I think I kind of like this person!’ It was such an interesting experience meeting your boyfriend on set because you spend so much time together and become so close so fast,” King toldBello Magazine.

“We were spending 17 hours a day together, and all of us would hang out after work and watch movies together and stuff. It was great," she added.

Sadly, King and Elordi split sometime in late 2018 after dating since 2017.

While we don’t know exactly why they split, the two were definitely busy during that year.

Elordi began working on the popular show, “Euphoria,” and King starred in “The Act," for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy.

But even though they were broken up, the two reunited to film “The Kissing Booth 2.”

Awkward? For most people it would be, but King called the experience "beautiful."

"I know what everyone wants to know, of course," she said on the podcast Mood with Lauren Elizabeth.

"And yeah, it was crazy. It was a wild experience, but honestly, it was a really beautiful time because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor, I grew as a person," King explained.

"I'm a fan of how it resonated with the world and it resonated with me," King said about the original film.

She continued, "So going back, and doing that, and making the sacrifice, obviously, what everyone is thinking about. I'm not outwardly addressing, but what I'm kinda on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it."

So while King and Elordi might not be on the greatest of terms, it looks like they were mature enough to put their personal lives aside to work on “The Kissing Booth 2.”
