Brandy Norwood will be slipping back into Cinderella's famous glass slippers!

The singer is set to reprise the role of the beloved Disney princess after she made history as the first Black actress to portray it in 1997. Since the "Zoe Ever After" star was nothing short of breathtaking in Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella," movie lovers already know that she will bring her A-game to the upcoming Disney+ original movie, "The Pocketwatch" — the latest in the "Descendants" series.

Brandy excited her worldwide fans after announcing her upcoming role in the Disney+ production. The 43-year-old had uploaded three images to her Instagram, with the first two being screenshots of Variety breaking the news.

The last slide was a headshot of the actors and actresses who would be starring alongside in the movie. Per the slide, the latest installment in the "Descendants" franchise will also star Rita Ora, China Anne McClain, Mia Baker, Gabby Duran, Kylie Cantrall, and Dara Reneé. Brandy captioned the announcement:

"So excited to join this amazing cast and reprise my role as #Cinderella in the #DisneyDescendants sequel The Pocketwatch. Thank you to my @disney and @disneyplus fam ** It's Still Possible."

Fans showed how glad the news made them by liking and commenting under it. One person gushed, "Not "It's Still Possible." You tryna take us out!" and another claimed, "This is so iconic. Forever our Cinderella." A third fan chimed, "It could take place a week after the last movie cause @brandy don't age!" while a fourth yelled, "You are the only Cinderella that counts!!"

An enthusiastic mom commented, "Wow!! Nostalgia for me, and my daughter will be excited too!" Even Instagram's official account was infected with the high spirits, adding, "it's possible we're CRYING." Meanwhile, this fan was more focused on Brandy's on-screen marriage, "Now, if @itspaolomontalban is not your husband in this, they've missed an opportunity!"

The movie musical will feature Cantrall as Red — the rebellious teenage daughter of the 'Queen of Hearts,' opposite Baker's Chloe, the cheerful albeit naive daughter of 'Prince Charming' and 'Cinderella.'

The duo cross paths during a significant celebration in the kingdom of Auradon that is disrupted by unexpected chaos. Red and Chloe must join forces to go back in time through a magical pocket watch made by the Mad Hatter's son to prevent an impending coup.

"The Pocketwatch" is written by Russell Sommer and Dan Frey and directed by Jennifer Phang. Gary Marsh and Suzanne Todd are executive producers, with Phang co-executive producing.

In October, The Blast noted that Brandy suffered a health scare that worried her fans. Luckily, the mother-of-one quickly bounced back, taking to Twitter to drop an update. The "I Wanna Be Down" singer tweeted screenshot with the words:

"To my beloved fam, friends, and starz, thank you for sending love and light my way. I am following doctors' orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition. Thank you for your prayers and support. Grateful for you all, see you soon."

Her supporters wasted no time expressing their joy that she was doing better. One person replied, "Thank you for keeping us updated!! So glad that you are on the mend!!" Another fan wrote, "You scared me fave I'm so happy you're okay," and a third shared, "Okay good, because I was stressed at the sight of that headline fr."

Fear had spread after news broke that Brandy had suffered a seizure that resulted in her being hospitalized. Law enforcement sources disclosed that paramedics received a call to the Grammy Awards winner's home on Tuesday, October 11, and rushed her to a local hospital.

It was later conveyed that her parents were with the "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" actress in the hospital, and she was in good spirits. Shortly after the news went public, several notable names, including Tamar Braxton, sent their well-wishes. Braxton uploaded a black-and-white pic of Brandy to her Instagram Story. The 45-year-old added this message that read:

"Love u soooo much sister @brandy praying that GOD cover you and ALL of your family. In JESUS' name."
