The feminine hygiene company is trending after whomever is running their Twitter account just landed the greatest tweet in a long time. “You're in their DMs. We're in them. We are not the same,” the account tweeted.

Followers of the brand immediately made sure to either love or hate the tweet forcing the clever post to go viral. “Tampax wins the last laugh,” wrote a follower. “Man, Tampax is out here going for blood,” joked another follower of the trend.

Unfortunately, some people were not impressed with this post and even took offense.

The company got a lot of laughs with the tweet, but they received some hate from followers were deemed it inappropriate and not necessary for the female used product to go that low. “Tampax talking to men, making fun of us, women. Apparently, men are their target audience... #BoycottTampax,” begged a follower.

“Tampax needs to calm tf down,” suggested a female follower. “This tweet is grotesque and Tampax should be ashamed of itself.” For every upset person there were many more loving the nastiness of the Tweet.

“How many times do we watch “bent carrots” on tv or Viagra ads, condom ads, yet this is too far? Stop,” asked a Twitter user.

One follower challenged those who are so offended to explain why. “Please explain how it’s sexualization. It’s simply fact. A tampon goes into, literally, a vagina. Therefore, it is “in” the person. Please let me know if I’ve missed something here. I’m excited for your “mansplaining” swipe!”

The viral tweet is leaving some users of the brand with big smiles across their faces. “Just gonna do a thread of all the cis men upset about the Tampax tweet. Tampons, literally, go inside vaginas.”

“Ok look, the dudes who are pressed in the comments clearly get zero play but Tampax is out of pocket for this. (And in vagina).”

“I did not have Tampax winning the internet today on my bingo card but there you go…” wrote a follower with a few smile emojis. Clearly Tampax has hired someone new over there!

The new king also got roped into the joke when followers realized that Tampax might be responding to an episode of The Crown when King Charles describes himself as Diana’s tampon. “Prince now King Charles approves this Tampax tweet,” joked a follower.

“Got curious about why people were tweeting king Charles in response to @Tampax Gonna go ahead and delete this app now,” wrote another follower who realized that the internet just wasn’t for her today!

“King Charles out here hacking the Tampax Twitter account,” one follower hilariously tweeted.

“Hilarious after I watched the Tampax episode of #TheCrown last night,” agreed a follower. “I didn’t realize today was King Charles III’s takeover of the Tampax Twitter account.’
