Megan Thee Stallion just wowed everybody after being featured on Instagram modeling hot yellow lingerie by Savage X Fenty. A clothing line by the music artist Rihanna.
The 25-year-old singer is well known for her lovely curves and isn’t ashamed to show a bit of weight here and there. In fact, her fans regularly applaud her self-confidence and positive body image.
The “Savage” rapper has had a massive surge in popularity after releasing the single which featured legendary artist Beyoncé in the remix of the song.
When asked by The Guardian’s writer, Yomi Adegoke, what it was like to do a duet with Beyoncé, she reported that Megan happily replied:
“I got a call: Beyoncé wants to do a remix to Savage,” she says, shaking her head with disbelief. “And I was like … what? Shut up. Shut up. You’re lying. Beyoncé don’t want to get on nothing with me. Come on, it’s me! I know I’m Megan Thee Stallion, but dang!”
For those who may not be aware, Megan has idolized the “Single Ladies” singer for years.
The Billboard Top 100 artist could barely contain herself during interviews about her experience working with Beyonce.
“You grow up and you friggin’ watch Destiny’s Child, and you go to the rodeo to see them perform … you don’t grow up and think you’re gonna meet Be-yon-cé!” she gushed. “When I heard the song for the first time I was like: no. And it’s only like, year two? And we on quarantine? Who does that?”
As reported by several news outlets, her rise to fame has been so fast since 2018 that Megan hasn’t fully adjusted to how famous she has become.
Megan also told The Guardian that being home alone during quarantine (in Houston, TX) has given her special creative freedom when working on her next album or single:
“Not having a lot of people trying to give me an opinion has definitely unlocked a different level of creativity,” she says. “Now, I don’t have anybody that I can necessarily play it for because who in the house? It’s just me, reassuring myself that I like what I’m writing, and I like the beats I’m choosing. So when it comes out, it’ll be 100% Megan: 100% Megan’s opinion, 100% what Megan wants.”
In several interviews, Megan also told the press that she got her strong language and fairly provocative lyric taste from her parents, specifically her mother:
“She was like: ‘Oh my gosh Megan, where did you get this potty mouth from?’” Megan laughed. “‘Who taught you these words?’ And you have to know, my momma was real gangsta – she cursed a lot. I’m like ma, I can’t believe you don’t know where I got it from!“
In light of her recent success with her “Savage” song, she just released an “anime” music video on her social media for the song about two hours ago.
