Grayson Chrisley Was Involved In A Car Accident
TMZ reported that Grayson was rushed to a hospital after a ghastly accident that totaled his car. The accident occurred on the interstate, where the young man rear-ended another truck. The reality star suffered significant injuries, which caused him to be rushed to the hospital.
The incident happened on Saturday around 5:30 pm on I-65 in Nashville, according to the Tennessee police. Grayson was driving his Ford F-150 when he collided with the rear end of a Dodge pickup truck which was stopped in heavy standstill traffic.
When the officers got to the accident scene, Grayson was asked what had happened. The reality star could not give any answer to explain the situation, likely because of a possible head injury. Grayson was immediately placed in an ambulance and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Other Driver Suffered Injuries
Via TMZ, pictures of Grayson's vehicle post-accident showed that the truck's bumper was significantly messed up, making it look almost unrecognizable. The hood of the Ford was also cracked, and the windshield had shattered from the impact.
The truck he collided with also suffered significant damage, with smashed tail lights and a destroyed fender. The truck driver reportedly sustained some injuries from the collision; however, he declined medical attention. The two vehicles were towed away from the scene of the accident. There is yet to be any announcement of an arrest or charges for either party.
The accident is just one of the many issues the Chrisley family has been going through. The reality star's parents, Todd and Julie, were charged and found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud earlier this year. While they await sentencing, the couple may face up to 30 years behind bars.
Todd And Julie Chrisley Are Currently Facing Serious Legal Troubles
In June, it was reported that reality stars Todd and Julie had been found guilty by the jury of bank fraud and tax evasion. The couple's accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also declared guilty of related charges as well as aiding and abetting false tax returns filing.
The three were indicted in 2019 and, at the time, were accused of defrauding banks by taking loans worth millions of dollars. They were also accused of actively avoiding federal income taxes and, in doing so, cheating the government.
The indictment revealed that Todd previously worked with a partner to make it seem like his bank account had $4 million. The duo did not have the sum in their account and didn't even have an account with the bank at the time.
Todd's attorney, Bruce Morris, said of the ruling, "We are disappointed in the verdict. We plan an appeal." The couple is currently waiting for a sentencing date and will be home in detention until the hearing.
The Chrisleys Asked Fans For Prayers
Despite the ruling, Todd and Julie said that they did no wrong but had expected the charges. They asked fans to send thoughts and prayers instead of spending money on gifts and flower arrangements. Todd made the request on his "Chrisley Confessions" podcast a few days after the ruling while under house arrest.
The "Chrisley Knows Best" star explained that the gifts and flowers left by fans at his door were appreciated and overwhelming, however, prayers would go a long way for them. His wife, Julia, seemed to agree with him as she was heard in the background echoing an "amen."
The couple previously announced that they would appeal the court's verdict, so their request for prayers over gifts is understandable.
