Ne-Yo Back With Wife Crystal Smith Following Divorce Drama, She Talks With His Ex Monyetta Shaw

Ne-Yo and his wife Crystal Smith appear to be working things out after calling off their divorce.

The Shade Room captured a video of the two playing around on TikTok. The two are currently holed up together in their Georgia home.

Crystal corrected a fan who wrote to her, “@itscrystalsmith you just a woman ne-yo with. Calm down.” She quickly replied to the remark stating, “wife*”

While under lockdown, Crystal spoke to Ne-Yo’s ex, Monyetta Shaw, on Instagram live about co-parenting together. They both spoke highly of each other and said they have no issues together.

As The Blast previously reported, earlier this year, news broke Ne-Yo and Crystal were having issues and we’re headed to divorce.

He confirmed they were having issues during a sit-down interview. He said, “There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman, she’s the mother of my children. She’s always gonna be there. I will always respect that.” The singer has spoken highly of Crystal after breaking up. He revealed she even returned her wedding ring.

At the end of March, Ne-Yo filed a petition for divorce in Georgia Court. In the court documents, Ne-Yo said the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and there was no hope for reconciliation.

In the petition, the singer requested joint legal custody of their two kids and for the terms of their prenuptial agreement to be enforced. He said they signed the deal before getting hitched which covered everything from custody to child support.

Days later, Ne-Yo informed the court he would be withdrawing his case. The decision means the two are still legally married. It would appear the two are trying to make things work while living together under lockdown.

Ne-Yo and Crystal have been married since 2016 and share two kids, Shaffer Smith Jr (born 2016) and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith (2018).
