Gordon Ramsay is searching for answers after one of his restaurants closed abruptly over the weekend.
The famous chef had several unwelcome visitors at his Restaurant Gordon Ramsay on Saturday.
According to reports, on November 19th, a group of casually dressed people came to the restaurant for a nice dinner… or so his staff thought.
Gordon Ramsay Has Unexpected & Unwelcome Guests
The group of diners, who took over already reserved tables, brought mock menus to the high-end restaurant to send a message about climate change and animal cruelty.
Animal Rebellion is an animal and climate justice movement with the stated aim of compelling government action towards a plant-based food system. Their justification for the introduction of such a system is the impact of animal agriculture on climate change, species extinction and ecosystem breakdown.
Their mock menus outlined the environmental costs of items served on the restaurant’s real menu, including steak and veal.
Protestors Invade Gordon’s Three-Star Michelin Restaurant
The unexpected surprise led to the police being called and the restaurant closing early.
A spokesperson for the Restaurant Gordon Ramsay said in a statement, “Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs. However, to force your way into a restaurant, disturbing hard-working staff going about their jobs and ruining the evening of guests who have waited months for their reservations is incredibly inappropriate and deeply disrespectful.”
A Metropolitan Police officer told Metro UK, “Police were called to a restaurant in Royal Hospital Road, SW3, shortly before 18.30hrs on Saturday, 19 November to reports of a group of protesters refusing to leave the premises. Officers attended. The restaurant was closed, and the protesters left. There were no arrests.”
A member of Animal Rebellion released a statement about their protest and explained how Ramsay’s restaurant is the “perfect example” of inequality in the UK.

“Whilst Gordon Ramsay serves food costing a minimum of £155 ($184.00) per person, more than two million people are relying on food banks in this cost-of-living crisis,” she said. “Instead of restaurants making colossal profits at the expense of animals, workers, and our climate, we need to feed everyone by supporting farmers and fishing communities in a transition to a plant-based food system.”
Animal Rebellion also said, “A plant-based food system requires 75% less farmland to grow food, allowing us to feed millions of additional people without the reliance on exploitative and inefficient animal farming industries. This is the answer to the cost-of-living and climate crises.”

Simmons’ vision for “PEELED” sparked the interest of Chef Josie Clemens, who competed on Ramsay’s world-renowned reality competition show, “Hell’s Kitchen.”
Chef Clemens co-created “PEELED.”
The Blast asked Islam, Simmons and Chris Tucker were asked for their thoughts on Ramsay’s virall video of him picking out a lamb to cook.
Gordon Ramsay Slammed By Vegan Activists
“I was disappointed, because my understanding is his daughter is vegan or exploring veganism, and he seems to be open to it, so for him to take that step back and do that and make fun of animal’s life like that is very disheartening for me,” Simmons explained.
Tucker said it’s imperative to know when people are entering the vegan world for profit versus compassion.
“I think in terms of this individual, he is probably entering the space for profit and not so much from a compassion standpoint,” said Tucker. “This little instance with the lamb is just showing his character.”
