Demi Lovato Might've Just Double-Slammed Disney & Nick Jonas

Leaked music from Demi Lovato popped up on Friday, and apparently, it's so scathing that the general public is even invested.
One non-fan said "this kind of nonsense is the only thing that could get [them] hyped for a Demi Lovato release" - so, if that's you, here's some backstory.
Lovato, 27, shot to Disney-driven fame after starring alongside the Jonas Brothers in 2008's "Camp Rock." Both would see massive 'solo' success before reuniting for the film's "Final Jam" sequel in 2010.
This was the same year Lovato and middle brother Joe Jonas "dated for a month." Of the three bandmates, it was her and youngest brother Nick Jonas who would become the fiercest of friends.
That is, until they weren't anymore.

Demi was the opening act for Nick and his brothers on during their 2010 world tour. But, this came to an abrupt end when she punched her backup dancer in the face.
Demi has since admitted the now-infamous incident happened because the dancer ratted her out for using non-prescription Adderall. Taking "personal responsibility for her actions," Demi went to rehab later that year.
Demi also said that, after the event, she distanced herself from all-things Jonas because she was "getting involved with self-destructive things."

"After treatment, I had to have some time sober before I wasn't embarrassed to talk to him. Nick says I sent text messages, but I don't remember sh-t."
If "Cool For The Summer" wasn't the seasonal theme of 2016, then sharing certainly was. Demi's admission came in a joint interview with Nick when they shared a sultry cover for "Billboard" magazine. At the same time, they were splitting the stage on their co-headlining "Future Now Tour."
But the last few years could not have been more opposite.

Lovato's lustful mentions of cigars and guitars and "thinking we should cross the line" in 2017's "Ruin the Friendship" left little to the mind. Ellen Degeneres pinned her to outright confirm it being about Nick Jonas, but the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer stayed quiet.
2018, though, was arguably the most catastrophic year of all.
Demi suffered a near-fatal drug overdose, and Nick married Priyanka Chopra. Their lavish wedding was many months after Lovato's life almost ended, but as it turns out, she wasn't invited in the place.
It's for the reasons like this that lyrics like - “you ain’t no friend of mine, you left me there to die” - are believed to call out the youngest Jonas.

A lengthy Reddit thread grabbed some key excerpts from Lovato's leaked "Ain't No Friend."
"This ain't no safehouse," they wrote, is suspected to be in reference to "Demi and Nick's joint record label" Safehouse Records.
Another tell-tale was Demi's saying that "it was all good back when we were working for the big mouse" - with most saying the marked Disney slam was "cheesy."
Some went a step further, joking that Demi being represented by artist manager Scooter Braun means she "works for an even bigger rat" now.

The line "took you on the road, showed you some love, let you play me" was connected to "Demi taking Nick on the Future Now tour with her."
If she wasn't clear enough there, her declaring that "this is our future now" might certainly do the trick.
There was also something said about "crashing down like an avalanche," speculated to be in "reference to Nick and Demi's collaboration [song] 'Avalanche.'"
