Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci and Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, had been dating since 2018 but ended up splitting up near the end of 2019 This was after Lucci attended a “cucumber party” hosted by fellow Atlanta rapper, Trouble and ‘Love and Hip-Hop’ star, Alexis Skyy. Plenty of women were present and when Carter came to see what was going down, she was disgusted.
Carter is now speaking on the breakup with Lucci with Page Six and thinks that she helped give him a huge platform and she won’t be making anyone famous anymore.
“I’m not bringing no dudes on the show,” Reginae said regarding the fallout of her relationship with the Think It’s A Game Records artist. “I’m not making nobody famous. I’m not putting nobody on no more.”
Carter is now blaming her dating problems on the dating scene in Atlanta. Instead, she plans to move out west.
“It’s hard dating in Atlanta — everybody knows everybody … I definitely feel like I need to leave and go to LA; that’s like, probably the only place that I can go. ”It is hard to decipher who’s real and who’s fake. All I can say to myself and other people is keep checking your bank account.”
Carter is also now skeptical about dating rappers anymore. She also discussed this with her mother, Toya Johnson, about this on ‘T.I. and Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle’ last year.
Carter’s claim of making Lucci famous is a bit flawed though. He’s been with a very successful record label since 2014 as he had his first hit record with “I Wonder Why” featuring Skooly. He also has a platinum record from 2017 with “Everyday We Lit” feat. PnB Rock and other hits such as “Heartless” feat. Rick Ross and “Boss Life” feat. Offset. . He also has other hot projects such as his 2017 ‘Long Live Nut’ EP, 2018 debut studio album ‘Ray Ray From Summerhill,’ 2019 ‘650 Luc: Gangsta Grillz’ mixtape with DJ Drama, and his latest ‘HIStory’ mixtape.
Lucci appeared on Friends and Family Hustle last year as that was his first appearance on reality TV. Carter continues to appear frequently as the latest season premiered on April 13. Throughout the course of their relationship, social media disapproved of their age gap as Lucci is currently 29 and Carter is 21. The two still tried to block out all the noise and make the relationship work but in the end, it just didn’t work out due to differences.
