Jax Taylor isn't exactly known for being calm, cool, and collected and on recent episodes of "Vanderpump Rules," he's seemed to be having a full-blown meltdown at times.
After fans watched as he lashed out at his co-stars after Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix planned a pool party at the same time he and Brittany Cartwright were throwing one at their own home, producers of the series opened up about Taylor's anger and explained why they believe he is so mad.

After experiencing plenty of Taylor's ups and downs first-hand in recent years, his producers revealed in an enhanced version of the May 5 episode that they have seen a clear pattern with the reality star's behavior and noted that he's made a habit of self-sabotaging when he gets bored.
“Historically, Jax has acted out and self-sabotaged when things weren’t exciting enough in his life,” one producer shared. “It seemed like he was having a wedding comedown… not consciously realizing why he was acting out."

While Taylor's wife, Cartwright, has the outlook of everything being "rainbows and butterflies," her kind-hearted spirit hasn't been enough to "cure" Taylor of his issues.
“He’s still very much ‘Jax’ and gets moody and lashes out at people,” the producers explained.
While producers of the hit series have certainly experienced a ton of tense moments between Taylor and other members of the show, they revealed that they always try to smooth things over once drama plays out for the cameras.
“We always make sure everyone is going to be OK once we’re gone,” they revealed.

According to the "Vanderpump Rules" producers, Taylor is "a pretty good gossip" but he isn't the only cast member of the show who is known to spread rumors and chit chat about the latest drama amongst their group. In fact, producers said Taylor wasn't the most gossip-y of the show. Instead, that honor was split between his former girlfriend, Stassi Schroeder, and co-star, Katie Maloney-Schwartz.
“When Stassi and Katie get going together, their gossip sessions are pretty epic," the producers said.

While Taylor has told a number of lies over the past several years on "Vanderpump Rules," he has done so quite well. As the producers explained, they have yet to notice any of his "tells" when he's saying something that is not true.
“It’s why he’s been so good at it through the years,” they said.
To see more of Taylor and his co-stars, don't miss new episodes of "Vanderpump Rules" season eight on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
