Even Taylor Swift's indestructible fanbase of 'Swifties' may need to 'bring in the big guns' sometimes!
This week Swifties have been preparing to face one of the biggest tasks related to the fandom: Tickets for Swift's first stadium tour in five years went on sale, and prospective show attendees would soon realize that the chance of seeing the "Bejeweled" singer live may be harder than originally thought.
Swifties would soon swarm social media shortly after tickets for "The Eras Tour" went on sale Tuesday morning to report a possible Ticketmaster outage!
According to our report published on Tuesday morning, Ticketmaster would soon begin to trend on Twitter after many fans began to encounter a number of blunders.
Outage reports on the outlet's website, error messages, or reports of fans being booted from Ticketmaster's "waiting room" altogether would soon become common, with many fans eventually reporting they had been unable to get tickets at all.
This morning, an unlikely source has stepped in to provide some solace to heartbroken Swifties and attempt to further investigate the practices behind the domineering ticket industry at large.
Lawmakers are joining Tennesse Attorney General Johnathan Skrmetti in an effort to investigate Ticketmaster's actions and advocate for change!
Read on to find out more about Skrmetti's mission.
Swifties Report A Number Of Obstacles Attempting To Get Tickets For 'The Eras Tour'

Ticketmaster was soon made aware of the difficulties on Tuesday morning.
Their "Fan Support" Twitter account would soon tweet, "If you received a code to the TaylorSwiftTix Presale, please log in and access the queue through the link you received via text rather than entering through the Ticketmaster homepage. This will ensure an optimal shopping experience." (via The Blast)
The outlet would soon share an update to Twitter on November 15th in response to the unprecedented traffic.
The message contained several bullet points.
"There has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up to buy tickets for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale," the first point read. The message would later advise qued fans to "hang tight" and promised Ticketmaster was "working to get fans through as quickly as possible."
The message concluded by saying "Thank you for your patience as we continue managing this huge demand," a statement that would later face criticism from fans.
"y'all are so stressful," a fan tweeted in response.
"The Bachelorette" alum Connor Brennan expressed his frustration by tweeting, "hi i hate you."
Lawmakers Launch An Investigation Into Ticketmaster
Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti is concerned about consumer complaints related to @Ticketmaster’s pre-sale of @taylorswift13 concert tickets. He and his Consumer Protection team will use every available tool to ensure that no consumer protection laws were violated.

The 'unprecedented' outcry from both critics and Swifties alike this week has now reached the attention of multiple United States lawmakers.
According to NBC News, Democratic senator Amy Klobuchar wrote a letter to Michael Rapino, who is the president and CEO of Live Nation, which is also Ticketmaster's parent company.
"Ticketmaster's power in the primary ticket market insulates it from the competitive pressures that typically push companies to innovate and improve their services," Klobuchar begins in her letter. "That can result in the types of dramatic service failures we saw this week, where consumers are the ones who pay the price."
The outlet also notes Klobuchar is chair of a Senate subcommittee on antitrust issues.
The Minnesota lawmaker reportedly quizzed Rapino on the company's efforts to ensure they are technologically equipped to "handle surges in demand and what percentage of high-profile tour tickets get reserved for presales."
CNN also raised an important point in their report on the situation: The outlet faces "practically no competition."
NBC also reported Rapino has yet to address Kobuchar's letter.
On the local level, Tennessee's AG has also committed to investigating Ticketmaster further.
NBC reports Skrmetti's office had been an outlet for disgruntled consumers to express their frustrations. In turn, Skrmetti's team issued a response.

As of this writing neither Swift nor her team, Taylor Nation, have responded to the issue.
