Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval have come to Scheana Shay’s defense after a “Vanderpump Rules” editor, Bri Dellinger admitted that she purposefully made Scheana Shay look bad because the “Good As Gold” singer did not befriend her. The couple were on the “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” “After Show” where they dished on the cast and their reaction towards an editor going out of her professional realm to make someone look bad because they didn’t befriend her.

Madix and Shay are not best friends, but she certainly agreed that the way Shay was treated this season editing-wise was a bit out of hand. Madix admitted that Shay looked a bit desperate this season, but she handled herself pretty well. Fans know that when Shay falls for someone, she falls hard. Madix also admitted that some people had issues filming together and because of that, fans didn’t really get to see some of the authentic drama between the cast.
“Yes, Scheana does get involved with people pretty deep, pretty fast,” said Madix. “But at the same time, there’s a lot of stuff that you’re not seeing on the show, like things that are going on with somebody that doesn’t want to film.” She claims that there is definitely more to the story. “And I don’t want to divulge all of her personal life. But I wouldn’t just take what you see on the show as her entire life.” Madix husband Tom Sandoval backed up his wife’s sentiments.

“And also, I would like to say that I thought that Scheana did one hell of a job on this season. I would go so far as to say she’s the ‘MVP’ of the season.” The couple praised Shay for always willing to put her entire life out there unfiltered. While promoting the show, Shay shared that she felt that she was painted in a negative light the entire season. “They think me desperately flirting is a better story,” said Shay. “Then me actually going through something real in life that could help people. And you, know, that’s their decision.”

Editor Bri Dellinger recently admitted in a jaw-dropping episode of the “Twisted Plot” Podcast with Evelyn Marley that she intentionally made Shay look like a horrible, desperate woman because the reality star did not befriend her. “If Scheana knows what’s good for her, she’d befriend me,” said Dellinger. She continued to put her foot in her mouth, “my favorite game is finding all the embarrassing things that Scheana does and putting them all in.” The podcast episode has since been removed but fans can’t help but to think this drama is far from over.
