If you woke up wondering why Jeff Goldblum was trending on social media — don’t worry, he’s fine! It seems the Internet is going nuts over a viral street fight where one of the guys bares a striking resemblance to the famed movie star, and the footage is nuts.
The street brawl was captured by Twitter user Leo Senpai, who claimed the two combatants are his neighbors. The fight features some pretty insane moves by one of the guys, who appears to have some martial arts training.
Before the action gets underway, let’s meet our combatants. In one corner stands a shirtless man wearing blue jeans and work boots. In the other corner, much taller and leaner stands a man in a loose-fitting shirt and tight jeans, along with sneakers and glasses. At a quick glance, the second man is not a dead-ringer for Goldblum … but sure, we see it.
As for what led up to the confrontation, the cameraman describes the backstory:
“guy who was shirtless deserved it. He started it. Before this he was yelling at glasses guy calling him every racial slur too, shirtless man threw the first swing as well. And literally anytime I’ve ever talked to him he always says disgusting things towards women.”

The fight begins as many street brawls do, with the two men circling each other squaring things up. The shirtless man then becomes the aggressor and throws the first punch … and things get crazy!
Fake Jeff Goldblum unleashed a flurry of defensive punches and actually drove the other man back before unleashing a brutal spinning kick that sent the shirtless man crashing into a nearby parked car.
FJG followed up with more kicks and punches before sending a devastating roundhouse kick into shirtless’ midsection, effectively ending the fight.

Within minutes of the video hitting Twitter, it began trending with thousands of retweets.
Many fans of Goldblum didn’t care that it wasn’t actually the “Jurassic Park” star, and sent in their thoughts on the brawl.
“Not gonna lie I underestimated Jeff Goldblum until the spinning heel kick,” one fan wrote.
“This. Is. BANANAS!! Rolling on the floor laughingRolling on the floor laughingRolling on the floor laughing Too bad it’s not ACTUALLY Jeff Goldblum. That would be even greater,” another hopeful fan commented.
A third person clarified the martial arts style, informing everyone:
“For those wondering Jeff Goldblum was utilizing Taekwondo the kick is known as the Dollyo Chagi.”
