Jojo Siwa Slammed Candace Cameron Bure For her comments about “traditional marriage” and now her fans can’t agree on who is right and who is wrong.
Candace Cameron Bure Didn’t Like Direction Of Hallmark Channel
Bure recently sat down for an interview where she got candid about her time with the Hallmark Channel and why she felt it was necessary to move on to the channel she created to become chief executive and creative head of Great American Media.
She justifies her move by stating, “My heart wants to tell stories that have more meaning and purpose and depth behind them. I knew that the people behind Great American Family were Christians that love the Lord and wanted to promote faith programming and good family entertainment.”
She also blamed the move on “change of leadership” and pointed to a new film that will premiere on the channel this year, “The Holiday Sitter” which features an LGBTQ+ storyline. “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core.”
JoJo Siwa Not Impressed With Candace Cameron Bure’s Comments
It was only a few months ago that Siwa described Bure as one of the “rudest” celebs she has ever met so there is already contention there but, Bure apologized publicly and the two seemed to leave it at that. Unfortunately, for Bure, the professional dancer was ready to slam her again after her recent comments. She hopped on social media to write.
“Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
JoJo Siwa’s Fans Have A Lot To Say
Since posting the rebuttal, Siwa’s comments have been insane and it’s not as one-sided as you may think. Many people are slamming the reality star as a “brat” and inviting her to stay in her lane.
“It’s not that deeep it’s her s**t she can do what she wants! The gay community wants so much respect but don’t respect another persons views or opinions ! Always offended by something like the gay community is more accepted now more then ever from cartoons, shows, music, marriage equal rights like wtf else u want like get over it the whole world isn’t gay so stop trying to force everyone to be a part of it or promote it!” claims an annoyed follower of JoJo.
“Jojo… I was gonna be nice. But seriously you need to grow the fuck up. Just because she doesn’t support the community, doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. You’re always trying to start drama with Candace, and now it isn’t looking too good for you. Because it’s constantly about Candace. Everyone had their own beliefs, so let Candace believe what she wants to believe. Not everyone has to have the same opinion as you do, and that’s okay. Please block me, Jojo, it’ll be myyyyy dream,” wrote another follower ripping her a new one.
“And that’s okay,” insisted another follower. “Who cares if there is a channel without gays? There are tons of channels with them if that’s what you care to watch. 🤷🏼♀️ She does what she wants and you do what you want,” they continued.
“She never even says “no gays” 🤔 don’t know how this seems offensive,” insisted another follower. It really seems like JoJo is getting turned into the villain here.
JoJo Siwa Did Receive Some Love & Support
The big bow-wearing blonde had a few supporters who agreed that Bure’s comments were hateful. “Well, good luck having ANY kind of creative project w/o the gay community… Art does not exist without gay people plain and simple,” insisted one cocky supporter.
“Wow that is so blatant i thought it was parody or ironic,” wrote a follower about the straight-to-it headline Siwa Posted. “She’s exactly who you said she was,” commented another follower. Siwa had some celebrity support as well.
“One Tree Hill” alum Hilarie Burton also chimed in calling Bure a “Bigot” on her own social media platform and going on to slam her harder. “I don’t remember Jesus liking hypocrites like Candy. But sure. Make your money, honey. You ride that prejudice wave all the way to the bank.”
