Jeff Bezos' GF Lauren Sánchez Is All For Girl Power With Plans For All-Female Space Crew

Lauren Sánchez is following in her boyfriend's footsteps, but with a little twist! Sanchez is dating one of the richest men in the world, Jeff Bezos, but she has dreams of her own.

In a recent interview, Sanchez revealed she is ready to explore space, just like her boyfriend but on her own terms.

During a joint CNN interview with her Amazon founder beau, the former entertainment reporter opened up about her skills and training as the pilot and how she intends to use it to make history.

Sánchez is not only a trained pilot but the founder of Black Ops Aviation, the first female-owned and operated aerial film and production company.

Given how her boyfriend has forged a path of travel into space through his Blue Origin spaceflight services — sending several prominent figures, including William Shatner— the "Fantastic Four" actress hopes to do the same in 2023 but only with women as members of the crew.

She told the publication, "It’ll be a great group of females," before clarifying that her boyfriend won't be joining her to blast into space. It's unsure who the candidates would be, but Bezos seems to have a good relationship with Kim Kardashian, who has a penchant for making records.

As The Blast reported, in January, Kim and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson — who was a candidate for a Blue Origin flight— attended a special dinner held at the billionaire’s estate in Los Angeles. The couple rode together using Kardashian’s car and stayed at the Amazon founder’s home for hours before heading to Davidson’s Beverly Hills hotel.

Although Sánchez and Bezos' romance started out as an illicit affair, the pair seems to be growing stronger, proving that their relationship was more than a lustful partnership. News of the lovebirds' secret romance broke in January 2019, a day after the billionaire and his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott announced their divorce after more than 25 years of marriage.

The National Enquirer leaked racy texts and photos that Bezos sent to Sánchez, exposing their affair and showing that they were dating while the entrepreneur was still married. It also didn't help that "The Longest Yard" actress was married to Patrick Whitesell, the CEO of Hollywood powerhouse agency WME.

Nevertheless, they managed to weather the controversy of the secret affair, and a month after their respective marriages ended, the pair made their first public appearance as a couple in New York.

By January 2020, Sánchez and Bezos made their red carpet debut in Mumbai, India, at an Amazon Prime event, looking ravishing. The media personality rocked a scintillating red and black gown with sheer long sleeves and a thigh-high slit, while Bezos opted for a marble-style black and white tuxedo jacket with black tuxedo slacks.

The highlight of their romance, however, came in June 2021 when the duo sparked engagement rumors after Sánchez was spotted wearing a massive heart-shaped diamond ring on her engagement finger. However, neither party has confirmed or denied the news.

While Sánchez and Bezos' love seems to be thriving, the same couldn't be said about his ex-wife Scott, who divorced her second husband, school teacher Dan Jewett, after almost two years of marriage. As we previously reported, Scott filed for divorce at the King County Superior Court in Washington State.

According to court documents retrieved, the philanthropist asked that any division of property be laid out in a separate contract. Jewett agreed to the deal and also didn’t contest the divorce, meaning their divorce proceedings would probably go smoothly.

Scott and Jewett got married in March 2021 — a year after her divorce from Bezos was finalized — with the former high school chemistry teacher sharing the announcement in a joint Giving Pledge letter published on Scott’s Medium account.

“I am married to one of the most generous and kind people I know — and joining her in a commitment to pass on an enormous financial wealth to serve others,” Jewett wrote. “I look forward to the growth and learning I have ahead as a part of this undertaking with MacKenzie."
