Big EdBrown is a pop-culture star after his time on TLC's "90 Day Fiancé," but his newest revelation is off the charts and sure to ruffle some feathers with Rosemarie Vega's family. Ed recently called in for an interview with comedian Stephen Kramer Glickman during an episode of "The Night Time Show Podcast," and revealed that one of his main motivators for doing the dating reality show was for security.

Ed dropped the news after being asked about the benefits of having a camera crew with him during the relationship process.

Big Ed claimed the camera crew "saved my life," and went to explain that he works in "high-end design," and when he told his client he was involved in the TLC show and heading to the Philippines, he was given a grave warning.

"He told me, 'they're going to skewer you, they're going to rob you, you look like an American, don't do it,'" Ed explained.

Ed said his friend even suggested just meeting Rosemarie at a hotel in a popular city and "having some fun," but Ed is adamant he was looking for something more than just a quick fling.

Big Ed is adamant that the safety the production crew provided for his International trip:

"The fact that I went with a camera crew saved my life, we went to places where I probably would not have come back alive, that's the honest to God truth."

He also believes that if the worst did happen, "at least they could find my body," referring to the crew.

Although it's a pretty dark outlook on his reality TV time, Big Ed also admits that the entire thing was a net positive for him.

Big Ed has surely capitalized on the drama that being a TLC reality star comes with, but he's also using his platform to spread awareness on important issues, like one that is very near and dear to his heart. Ed recently went on Instagram and talked to fans about Klippel Feil Syndrome, which he explains is the reason for his shortened neck and small stature. Ed said he was asked to talk about the condition by his new friend, Tina Turner, whose son also allegedly suffers from KPS.
