Tekashi 6ix9ine Reaches Record-Breaking Views During His Instagram Live

After much patience and anticipation from his fans, Tekashi has finally been released. What most people were anticipating is what he was going to say when he announced that he would be on live in the next few days. One thing he didn’t do is disappoint anyone because he had a lot to say about everything. Breaking the Instagram Live record, his video had more than two million viewers. The month prior, he had been remaining silent as he was getting reacclimated with the outside world.

Even though he had been in jail for 18 months, he was quick to get back to his career and on May 8th, he released his new music video titled “GOOBA.” The colorful music video reached a million views within a few hours. Not only were fans discussing his music video, but they also talked about what he had to say. During the Live, Tekashi wanted to clear his name and make it completely clear where his loyalties really lie.

Tekashi let it be known that he doesn’t regret snitching on his manager Shotti and even flipping on the members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. “Where was the loyalty when you were sleeping with my baby mother? Where was the loyalty when you were caught on the wiretap trying to kill me?” he asks. Tekashi keeps going with these questions asking “Where was the loyalty when you tried to kidnap my mother? Where was the loyalty when you stole millions of dollars, so who broke it first?”

Tekashi continues to admit that he was not “about the gang sh-t.” He saw hip-hop as a way out of poverty and to feed his family, “When I met son, he was sleeping on the rug. Listen, I’m a Mexican, rainbow-haired kid and I rap. I’m not about the gang [stuff], but I know how to get us out. If you can’t hold me down out here in the free world, what makes you think if I would’ve held it down, you wouldn’t violate me in prison?” he questions.

Tekashi did humble himself to apologize to his fans stating, “I’m sorry to my fans because, you know what, it wasn’t worth it.” He continued to thank the judge and his lawyer and even claimed that he didn’t do anything wrong in the eyes of the law. “I want to shout-out my lawyer, Lance Lazzaro. I want to say thank you to the judge for allowing me to come home to my family. I appreciate that. I didn’t do anything wrong” he explains.
