Ray J's Wife Princess Love Files For Divorce

Singer Ray J's wife, Princess Love, has just filed for divorce.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Princess Love is asking to end her 4-year marriage with the singer.

Princess filed the documents today, in Los Angeles County Court and it's unclear if she is asking for primary custody of the couple's two children.

Ray J and Princess got married back in August 2016, and their daughter Melody was born in May 2018.

The tumultuous marriage made headlines last November after Ray J left his pregnant wife and daughter in Las Vegas after the family attended the BET Soul Train Awards.

Rumors the two were on the verge of a divorce boiled up until both Ray J and Princess Love publicly reconciled. He also admitted his wrongdoing in the Vegas incident, although he never fessed up for allegedly leaving them high and dry.

” “I love you, Princess, and again, look it didn’t happen like that. I would never leave my baby and my wife. I would die first before I leave them on the side of the road,” Ray J said at the time during an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Ray J and Princess Love welcomed their son, Epik Ray Norwood, in January 2020.

At this point, Ray J has not responded to the filing, and it's unclear if the couple will be able to work out custody of their daughter.

The couple's issues have been widely covered on their reality show 'Love And Hip Hop' and many fans were surprised their marriage lasted this long.

Ray J and Princess Love appeared together on a special, where they faced off and answered tough questions about their ongoing marital problems. In the show, Princess walked out several times.

Ray J has reportedly been spending time away from his wife in the past few weeks, quarantined in a Los Angeles luxury hotel.

The singer confessed to Page Six, he’s in quarantine 10 minutes away from the home he shares with Princess Love. At the time, Ray claimed he was isolated from his family in order to help them remain virus-free.

“I’m lonely right now. I don’t want to quarantine by myself. I keep telling Princess, but she says, ‘If I see one person over there with you, you got to start over,’ ” he told the site.

He added, “So I really have to lock myself in, because I really miss my kids.”
