Katharine McPhee is a phenomenal dancer but even she could use a few pointers from Jennifer Lopez!
The actress shared her attempt at J.Lo’s now-famous Super Bowl Halftime dance on Tuesday. She slowly worked through the moves in a short black skirt and a long-sleeve checkered button-up as her husband, David Foster filmed her routine. Lopez’s 3-month anniversary post reignited the #jlosuperbowlchallenge on social media and Katharine felt it was time to throw her ~~hips~~ hat into the ring.
“There’s people like @jlo and there’s people like me. #jlosuperbowlchallenge,” McPhee captioned her funny video.
As previously mentioned, J.Lo’s dance is still a hot topic, especially on TikTok. Thousands of men and women around the world have danced like Jenny from the block and shared their results on social media. While she inspired a lot of talented and beautiful people (McPhee included), nobody conquered the dance like she did.
Lopez was joined by Shakira on February 2nd for the Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show for some hip-swiveling fun but J.Lo’s solo dance to the song, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” seemed to have the longest-lasting effect.
Check out how the OG and then watch Katharine’s version. She’s starting to get it… kinda. J.Lo’s dance starts at 10 minutes into the halftime show.
Over the weekend, J.Lo made waves on the internet by sharing some behind the scenes videos of her rehearsals for the big halftime show.
“I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months since the #SuperBowlLIV #Halftime Show! ✨?✨ So much has happened since then, but I wanted to share a fun peek behind the scenes at our first rehearsal with the dancers and @Shakira❤️,” Jennifer wrote on Instagram.
Fans were pretty interested in watching her learn the moves but one of the videos featured Jenny giving Shakira some pointers for their booty-shaking finale. Needless to say, people were talking about that video more than the others.
Why hasn’t that move become a viral challenge… actually, it pretty much has.
