I suppose we shouldn’t expect anything less from this non-traditional pair, right? Tech mogul Elon Musk and girlfriend Grimes just recently gave birth to a baby boy and both mom and baby are doing great, according to Musk. However, there was one reveal that Musk made recently about his son’s name that had people scratching their heads in confusion. According to the SpaceX CEO, he and Grimes have decided to call their son X AE A-12 Musk, which left some fans wondering if it was a joke.

This is likely a name that we would expect from the ever-eccentric couple—like something both biblical and straight out of space. The reveal from Musk regarding the name quickly went viral and fans were left scrambling trying to figure out the origin of the name as well as how in the heck you would pronounce it. Musk ended up liking a tweet that theorized the origins of the newborn’s name, as well as the pronunciation, which seemingly confirmed everything fans needed.

The tweet broke down the name using the Scandinavian alphabet, which includes the letter Æ pronounced “Ash.” Additionally, A-12 is an aircraft that uses a code name Archangel. This left one fan guessing that the boy's name is X Ash Archangel. Once Musk himself liked the tweet, fans began to confirm that this, in fact, was the correct pronunciation. Although, nothing has been confirmed by Musk himself. Musk did, however, share his very first picture with his son to social media.

This is not the first child for Musk, although it is the first child for Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher. Musk, 48, has five sons from a previous marriage, however, his first son, Nevada passed away in 2002 at just 10 weeks old from SIDS. Both Grimes and Musk have made headlines over the years for being untraditional, to say the least—Grimes announced she was having a baby by sharing a topless photo of herself on social media. Grimes explained of the photo, “I thought about censoring them for a hot minute haha (this may get taken down anyway) but the photo is so much less feral without the nipples.”

Grimes opened up months back about being pregnant and how it wasn’t at all what she was expecting it to be. The 32-year-old singer revealed to her followers that she felt “woefully ill-prepared" for what pregnancy would entail. The singer explained, “It's been good too, but it makes working a lot harder. Good at writing and having lots of wild ideas tho, but anything physical is hard. Im also way more emo and less capable of bravery in the face of haters online and stuff haha.” Congratulations to the couple and their newborn son, X Æ A-12 Musk.
