Scott Disick Opens Up About His Late Parents

'Keeping Up With The Kardashian' fans all remember when Scott Disick originally lost his parents and though we have watched his journey for ten years, the real estate mogul has mentioned them very little since.

However, on the April 30 episode 'KUWTK,' the reality star is led down a path where he has to confront his past while the family makes plans for their Winter Holiday.

While Disick has been open about his sobriety, love life, and being a father, we don't know much about the family he grew up with.

Disick admits that speaking about his parents is too emotional at times, but on the latest episode of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashian', he was very open to the conversation.

He reveals that as an only child he was very close to his parents, Bonnie and Jeffrey Disick, who briefly appeared on the 2011 'KUWTK' spin-off 'Kim & Kourtney Take New York.' However just two years later, in October 2013, his mother passed away after suffering from a 'long illness' according to reports.

A few months later, in January 2014, Disick's father Jeffrey also died, but his cause of death has never been revealed.

'Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about,' Scott said in the new KUWTK episode. 'It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them'.

'I think when my parents passed, it was too hard to talk about. As much as I was dreading looking through some photos because I thought it was going to bring out sad memories, I’m happy that Dave [his father's best friend] brought them with him,' Disick said. 'The truth is, it brought up so many amazing memories and things that I forgot.'

He added, 'I think the more I talk about my parents, the more my kids will remember them, and feel connected to them.' For many fans and the Kardashians alike, it was great for Disick to reveal his deeply covered emotions.

He also has received lots of support from his extended Kardashian family and has a co-parent who is able to relate to such a loss. Kourtney Kardashian was twenty-four when she and her siblings loss their father, renowned lawyer Rob Kardashian, to esophageal cancer.

In February, the Kardashian family paid tribute to their late father on what would have been their Robert Kardashian's 76th birthday.

Scott Disick has also paid tribute to his parents by following in the footsteps of his father, who made his wealth and built his legacy through real estate and development.

Though he and Kourtney Kardashian are far beyond their relationship, Disick is still accepted and loved by all members of the Kardashian family. He is also a permanent father to his three children.
