Carmella is one of the biggest stars on Friday Night Smackdown.
Born Leah Van Dale, the wrestler has become one of WWE's most charismatic and talented stars.
After nearly seven years in the company, Carmella has become a fan favorite. Whether she's a heel or a babyface, nobody can get enough of the Princess of Staten Island.
While she's accomplished a lot in her career, it's her personal life that people often talk about.
For today's article, we'll share some facts about the former Women's Champion.

Like many stars in the business, Carmella is the daughter of a wrestler.
Her father is Paul Van Dale, who wrestled in the 80s' and 90s.' While he never made it big like other stars, Van Dale did wrestle a few matches in WWE.
Even though her father was a wrestler, Carmella had no interest in following in his footsteps.
Instead she concentrated on a career as a professional cheerleader.
She was part of the cheer squad for the NFL team, the New England Patriots. She stayed with them for three years before leaving in 2010.
She then signed on to become part of the Los Angeles Lakers cheerleaders. She was with them for about a year before leaving in 2011.
Carmella would then turn her attention to pursuing a wrestling career.

Upon signing with WWE in 2013, Carmella spent time in their developmental territory NXT.
While in NXT, she was paired with Big Cass and Enzo Amore. She became the manager for the tag team and accompanied them to the ring for their matches.
When she was called up to the main roster in July 2016, WWE split up her, Big Cass, and Enzo because they wanted to concentrate on Carmella's singles career.
Carmella became a main staple on Smackdown and soon enlisted James Ellsworth as her new onscreen love interest.
In the summer of 2017, her career took off when she won the first-ever Women's Money in the Bank ladder match.
In April 2018, she finally cashed in her MITB contract to pin Charlotte Flair to become the new Smackdown Women's Champion.
Carmella would enjoy a four-month reign before losing the title at the 2018 SummerSlam PPV.
Like many of her fellow WWE stars, Carmella's love life has often been in the news.
She was in a relationship with Big Cass. The two started dating when they were paired together in NXT.
Fans loved them together and thought they were a cute couple. When they announced their split in 2017, fans were stunned. A few months later, Big Cass was released from WWE.
According to Carmella, her and Cass break up was due to a number of issues, including their disagreement about their future together.
Carmella would go on to find love with WWE announcer Corey Graves. However, their relationship got off to a rocky start after Graves' ex-wife accused Carmella of breaking up her marriage.
After Carmella and Corey went public with their relationship in 2019, they set the record straight. Carmella denied she was a homewrecker.
Corey also explained that he and his wife were already separated and in the midst of divorce when he began dating Carmella.

Like other wrestlers, Carmella has dabbled in other ventures outside the ring.
She's a wine lover and anybody who follows her on Instagram will likely see her with a glass of her favorite drink.
Carmella decided to follow in the footsteps of The Bella Twins and create her own brand of wine.
In 2019, her wine Capo Cagna was released.
Carmella's new venture has been a hit with fans, and it's gotten her a lot of media attention. She's been featured in numerous food and wine magazine showcasing her signature line.
With her wine a success, Carmella has found an outside project to keep her busy.
