While talking to "The View" on Thursday, Blunt broached the topic of her 2006 hit film. According to the actress, she loved working with her cast mates during the period and signed off on a sequel to do it once more. Blunt said, "I would do it in a heartbeat just to play with those guys again."

She played Charlton, the assistant to Streep's feared character, Miranda Priestly. Her character usually sported a green eye shadow color which Blunt described as "horrifying" and deserved to have a section appearance.

"The green eye shadow is so horrifying; it has to get another outing. So bad," she said. Although Blunt recently said she would be excited to star in the sequel, the actress had a different opinion in 2018.

During The Jess Cagle Interview in 2018, Blunt talked about filming "The Devil Wears Prada" and how much she loved the experience. "We all just wept with laughter," the actress said to People Magazine. "I loved working with sweet Annie Hathaway, and it was my first experience working with Meryl [Streep] and Stanley Tucci, who is now my brother-in-law."

Blunt further explained that although many people had been calling for a new sequel, she was hesitant to get on board because she didn't want it to be "diluted."

"If everyone did it, I would be up for it," the "Mary Poppins Returns" star said. "I almost hope it doesn't [happen] because I think sometimes when you sequel, everything kind of dilutes how special the original is."

Although Blunt revealed that she was more than interested in a "The Devil Wears Prada" sequel, Hathaway, her co-star, said there weren't any plans for another film. A week before Blunt's most recent interview, Hathaway was on "The View" and said she did not think a sequel for the 2006 film was doable.

"I don't know if there can be [a sequel]. I just think that movie was in a different era, you know?" the actress said. "Now, everything's gone so digital, and that movie centered around the concept of producing a physical thing. It's just very different now."

Hathaway continued per People, "Although, it is tempting to think about Andy and Emily needing to get Miranda her coffee, and she's somewhere in Europe, and then along the way they pick up Stanley Tucci in Italy, who's at a restaurant."

Prior to her "The View" appearance, Hathaway spoke about plans for "The Devil Wears Prada." She attended the New York Fashion Week earlier this year with an outfit that bore a striking resemblance to what her character, Andrea Sachs, wore in the film.

Hathaway wore a brown leather jacket under which she had on a black turtleneck top and a skirt. Her hair was done up with a bang. She received several questions about her look at the event and if there would be any new "The Devil Wears Prada" films in the future.

The actress told Entertainment Tonight, "There's not going to be a sequel. It's not gonna happen. It's just like, we can't do it. It's not gonna happen. It exists. There are other films. There will be other films. We can just watch that one [The Devil Wears Prada] again."
