Kristen Doute and Alex Menache may have only recently gone public with their relationship but according to a new report, the Vanderpump Rules star and her new boyfriend are reportedly quite serious about their romance, as well as their future together.
While Doute has remained fairly mum on her boyfriend, an insider claims they Menache is quite serious about her.
“Alex likes girls with a sense of humor. He’s hilarious,” a source told Us Weekly magazine. “He wants to get married and have kids soon.”
“He’s from the Valley and he owns a lot of apartment buildings in the L.A. area. He’s not the L.A. type who is friends with lots of celebs though. He has been looking for a wife,” the source continued.
In March, Doute first confirmed that she was seeing someone new, months after she and her former partner, Brian Carter, split after four years of on and off dating. At the time, Doute said that while Menache wasn’t currently in the country, she was hoping he made it back before the borders were potentially closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Doute also discussed her relationship with Menache on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast a couple of weeks ago but didn’t refer to him by name.
“We’re having a great time and he’s kind of back and forth between his house and mine — and that’s fine because we’re not socially interacting with anyone else,” she said. “He’s a nice guy that our whole friend group knows.”
Doute purchased her first home in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles last year before production began on Vanderpump Rules season eight.
Doute also mentioned her boyfriend months ago, before they got serious.
“I did just start talking to someone. I don’t have a boyfriend,” Doute told Us Weekly in January. “That’s the part of dating — at one point are you just having fun and sleeping together and then you’re going out on dates and then you’re sleeping together on the reg. And then you’re only kind of dating each other, but you don’t want to. So at one point do you just go, ‘Oh sh*t.’”
Months ago, amid her on-screen drama with Carter, Doute confirmed to Us Weekly magazine that she would always care for her former partner.
“He’s always going to be one of my best friends in my mind,” Doute said at the time. “I love him, I care about him, we have dogs together. But we tried to make it work and it’s not working, so it needs to be done.”
